Check out Graham County, NC local roadway attractions

Two of the most renowned and even thrilling roadways are located here in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains in Graham County.  If you are a roadster or motor bike enthusiast, then you can have a one stop vacation and hit these popular roadways.

First on the hit list is US 129 The Dragon.  With 318 curves in 11 miles, this is truly a thrilling ride enjoyed by thousands year round.  Make a quick stop at Deal’s Gap Motorcycle Resort, then hit the road and enjoy the ride all the way into TN.

Then there’s the Cherohala Skyway.  The Cherohala is an amazing awe inspiring roadway with views up and over 5,300 feet and crossing through Cherokee and Nantahala National Forests.  If you plan to make a drive, take time to stop at the top and take a peek at God’s country.

While in the area, take the time to check out our beautiful Lake Santeetlah .  Over 75% of Lake Santeetlah’s shoreline is USFS which insures that the views will be secure an undisturbed.
