maryinpalosverdes: Home Value - Increase the value of your house today - 04/29/08 01:23 PM
Increasing your home value is such a "open-ended" term because one persons treasure can be another persons nightmare. For example adding a swimming pool in the back yard can easily be viewed as a "Wow" factor to someone who loves having a pool and can afford the maintenance of owning a pool. However, to another person it may appear as more of a burden and a safety issue which will decrease the value to that buyer. Some clients are just dead set against a pool. They see it as a extra monthly expense and if they have small children they do

maryinpalosverdes: Home Protection Policies. Worth their weight in Gold! - 04/29/08 12:33 PM
I am surprised to find that most Homeowners are not aware of the Home Protection Policy that they can place on their home for a nominal fee. Even if you have a "do it your selfer" living with you, Placing a home protection on your property is worth it's weight in gold. Picture courtesy ofgoogle images-buffaloexterminating.com A Home Protection Policy cost is around $550.00 for a year depending on if you have Central Air, Pool, or Roof Coverage, this can cost more. If you want roof coverage be awre that it is only for a $1000.00 maximum of roof repairs and

maryinpalosverdes: Attention California Realtors -CAR Posted A RED ALERT-HELP!!! - 04/29/08 11:43 AM
Red Alert! C.A.R. OPPOSES Point-of-Sale Mandate!! Call Assembly Member Betty Karnette to Ask that the Point-of-Sale Provision be Removed from AB 2678! C.A.R. is OPPOSING AB 2678 (Núñez) which among other things, requires that ALL homes and commercial property in California have an energy audit at point-of-sale and that mandatory energy efficiency investments be made. While C.A.R. appreciates the goal of AB 2678 C.A.R. strongly opposes the point-of-sale requirements in AB 2678 because they fail to achieve the bill’s objectives and, such mandates will further weaken the housing market. If enacted, AB 2678 could add thousands of dollars

maryinpalosverdes: What would you do with one of these Realtors? - 04/23/08 01:44 PM
I was showing leases the other day,... I ran across a property that was tenant occupied 24 hour notice..so I made an appt. for Friday at 7:00 and told the agent I would check with my client and call her back to confirm I thought I left a message that we wouldn't make it. I call back on Tues. to reschedule and she informs me that the tenant waited from 6:00-7:30 was very upset, she was upset and the owner was upset...I apologize and tell her I thought I left her a message etc.. and then she tells me I did not.

maryinpalosverdes: Another Violation of Christian Rights-Petition- Please Help! - 04/16/08 04:20 PM
This is a very interesting case I have been following on the ACLJ Radio Show, Another violation of our first amendment rights. It is amazing to me how our college students are asked to deny their religion and acknowledge that we have no free will in order to pass a college class and receive a grade or deny their free will and get a 0 grade. Yes, you heard me right, check out this new case by Jay Seccular. I was also shocked to hear the callers calling in to say that this also happened to them and that they had to deny

maryinpalosverdes: Foreclosures- Will you end up homeless soon? - 04/11/08 04:11 PM
Picture Courtesy of google.com Not according to the latest report from Bloomberg .com Banks swamped by a tidal wave of foreclosures increasingly may be looking the other way and letting homeowners remain in their homes, according to some sources. Banks say they are allowing homeowners more time to work out financial issues and potentially save their homes by avoiding foreclosure. But some observers have expressed concerns that delaying the foreclosure process may only extend the agony for homeowners and prolong the housing market slowdown. MAKING SENSE OF THE STORY FOR CONSUMERS 3.6 percent of borrowers were at least 90 days late on their

maryinpalosverdes: A great treat for any Parent! Enjoy this 2 min. music video - 04/07/08 09:36 PM
This a great song for all of us Mom's.. I think everyone should have a child. It teaches you how to be patient, humble and very flexible. I can always tell when people have never had children, they get so rattled when things don't go according to plan but I always say "just one child will cure that syndrome... Children are the best teachers, one child and accepting change at a moments notice and changing gears midstream becomes your new mastered skill. Children can make you an expert at this!!Enjoy! My child did not think this was funny, make your children

maryinpalosverdes: NAR helping to get Health Care Reformed- It makes me proud to.... - 04/07/08 12:59 AM
Pic. courtsey of Eco-Fin Dev. & google images.com It makes me proud to be a member of the NAR and see that we are fighting for such a important cause like this. It is great to see that the NAR membership is going to fight to reform our health care. After watching the movie "sicko" it is amazing how poor our health care is compared to other countries. It is no longer affordable or maximum care. It needs to change and change fast.. Below is some excerpts from the article: http://www.realtor.org/press_room/news_releases/2008/us_health_care_system_must_be_reformed.htm
