 Here is a great article on the Palos Verdes Retreat Center, I like most of the community did not know that this retreat center is available to the public, It is a great place to see and hold meetings, events or small group seminars. The views are spectacular, right next to the St. John Fisher Church and School. Check this out for your next event. It is a great location, in the center of the peninsula easy to get to and centrally located.

 Much to our dismay we will not have a Trader Joe's in Golden Cove, I always wonder if the stores check their zip codes to see just how much of their sales volume comes from the zips of 90274 and 90275. I am sure it is a major amount that warrants a store in our area.   We are still waiting and spending more gas dollars running up and down the hill. Personally, I would rather be spending it at Trader Joe's. Below is the explaination given by the planning commission sent to me by one of my clients.

Palos Verdes High School trails closely behind..Not bad for being #1 in California and top 89th in the US. I heard that our own Silver Spur ELementary placed in the top 10 of all elementary schools Nationwide. I attended a credit seminar recently and I learned some new and very exciting information. It use to be the case that we had to caution our clients that if they applied for a mortgage loan with more than one source puling their credit report it would lower the Fico score 15 points per credit report ordered.

Currently, a new Internet real estate idea was given air time on 20/20 and so were some pros and cons.  Red Finn like Catalyst promises to give the Buyer back a rebate for their commission.  All the Buyer has to do is drive around find the house view the house and email the Red Fin agt. to write the offer.  Red Finn advertised that the Buyer can save up to $10,000.00 on a price of $500,000.00

If you are self employed and file a schedule C always make sure you file electronically or if you mail your tax return send your return certified or receipt from the post office. I wish I would have done that. The statue of limitations on all audit tax returns are 3 years and according to the IRS I am just 2 mos. short of avoiding an audit. It just burns me up when I see Palos Verdes,Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes homeowners fall into the hands of a discount brokers.
