According to the article, we are not going to see a mass exodus ftom the suburbs back to urban cores, but we are seeing an increase in new construction in close in suburbs.  Alan Ehrenhalt, the executive editor of Governing magazine states … (4 comments)

What's New at Glenmore - Golf Maintenence Goes Green - 08/24/08 06:32 AM
What's so unusual about a green golf course?  Grass is supposed to be green.  In the latest issue of  Piper Magazine, the publication of the Glenmore Country Club, Tim Thomas, the golf course superintendent, talks about the proceedures that the Glenmore Country Club has implemented to make its golf maintenance as environmentally friendly as possible.
When the course was first constructed a fertilization system was installed that injects fertilizer directly into the irrigation water thus minimizing fertilizer runoff, since the fertilizer is absorbed directly into the soil.
The course also embraces the concept of integrated pest management which has the goal … (2 comments)

Are You and Olympian? What Can the Olympics Teach a REALTOR? - 08/15/08 12:15 PM
Like so much of the country, I have been glued to my tv set for the past week.
I have marveled at the accomplishments of the athletes and have been reflecting on what it takes to become an Olympian.
What qualities made it possible for Michael Phelps to win an unprecedented number of medals?  Did the specially designed suit enable him to swim faster?  Or does the fact that he has exceptionally long arms give him an edge?  Or could it be something else?
One of the things that struck me is the fact that each athlete has a story.  So … (3 comments)

I stopped in yesterday to get a sandwich and ordered turkey … (2 comments)
