Talk About The Best Referral - 06/29/10 12:28 PM
As agents we may have heard all too often the best compliment is a customer's referral. The other day I received a phone call from someone who was referred to me by one of my clients via her mother. I thought, how great is that? I don't know my client's mother, but my client obviously told her mother she was selling her home, and I was her agent. Her mother spoke to people at her work her daughter was selling her home. One of her co-workers so happens to be in the market to buy a home, needed an (8 comments)
Are you like me and keep all your receipts in a shoe box? Well, no more! Michelle Gardner was kind enough to share this great resource that's free. Yes, I said free. I actually gave it a try and it's fantastic. I take pictures of all those receipts and upload 'em. Won't have to pull my hair out next tax time, or realize one can hardly read the receipts because the ink has faded. Now go find those receipts...

Are You Considering Buying a Short Sale with HOA's? Something You Need To Know - 06/22/10 02:43 PM
Are you considering buying a short sale that includes a Homeowners Association? Something to consider before you submit your purchase offer. In most short sales, the Seller’s lender will not pay delinquent HOA dues. Find out from your agent if HOA dues are delinquent. If they are, then you, the buyer, will be required to pay the delinquent fees, including any fines and past due amounts, and related release of lien fee (if applicable), if the Seller cannot pay. It’s not the end of the world, but something to be aware of and to consider when purchasing a short sale. If (0 comments)
If you have purchased your home more than two years ago, chances are you may be upside-down, or underwater, on your loan, meaning you owe more than the market value of your home. If you are experiencing financial hardship and having difficulty making your mortgage payments, you will want to know the options that are available to you. Facing foreclosure is a stressful time, and many homeowners may not be aware that a short sale is an available option. If trying to keep your home, either through a loan modification or through bankruptcy, you may reach a point where either of these solutions (1 comments)
Google saves me so much frustration, time and money! - 06/15/10 12:29 PM
I use google everyday, and didn't know this (imagine that!) until I found Lori Bowers' post, which I have re-blogged below. Then, found this 411 video on google. http://www.google.com/goog411/ Via The Lori Bowers Group Paradise Properties: We all have had days where we are running around going from place to place and realize we need to make a call but do not know the number. Remember the good old days when we could call 411 for free and a real live operator would not only give you the information but also ask about your day? I realize that was pre cell phone days, but (3 comments)
Tell Me -- Am I the Only One Who Thinks Craigslist is Useless? - 06/12/10 07:58 PM
And absolutely annoying? I just posted on Craigslist two, new, residential sales listings and the response I get is from a Nigerian scamster, someone who wants to sell me into a MLM, and someone from a foreign country who is looking for a place to stay in the states for a weekend. In the past, all I have heard from other agents is how they get leads and sales from craigslist, and how great craigslist is, and blahty, blah, blah. Am I cuckoo or what? I don't get anyting of value from craigslist except spending my valuable time putting together my listing (10 comments)
