Buyers-Are you looking for the "deal of the decade"????? Is a short sale REALLY where you should look??? - 05/17/08 12:59 AM
Foreclosures and Short Sales MAY be a good place to start when looking for a great deal, but they certainly aren't the ONLY place to look. At least in Idaho, many of these so called "deals" are New Construction homes that were built 2 years ago when everything cost more (lots cost more, labor cost more, materials cost more) and they have just been sitting on the market for 2+ years waiting for someone to buy them. There is usually a REASON those homes haven't sold! Have you seen "bargains" like this beauty?
Some advertise "Reduced by $100,000!" but the home was overpriced by $125,00 (17 comments)
Idaho is bucking the trends! What about your state? Find out here..... - 05/16/08 12:08 PM
Idaho has grabbed 4 spots in the Housing Predictor's Top 25 Appreciating US Markets for 2008! Sun Valley shines at #5, Idaho Falls comes in at #11, Kellogg comes in at # 19, and Boise takes the #20 spot! These 4 Idaho cities were picked out of 250 local Real Estate Markets with the greatest forecasted appreciation for 2008. The 2007 Housing Predictor's forecasts were 86% correct. The top markets for 2008 were scattered all over the U.S., and no particular region dominated the charts. Many smaller population markets made the forecast, showing a strong trend developing in the U.S. More (5 comments)
I am looking forward to Summer in Meridian, Idaho! See these pictures! - 05/16/08 03:45 AM
With Memorial Day right around the corner, I've been anticipating Summer here in Meridian Idaho. There are many fun things to do in our own backyard, and with the price of gas, that will prove to be a very good thing this summer! Boondocks Fun Center is one of those attractions that rates high with Idahoans of all ages. There are the bumper boats, go-carts, minature golf, batting cages, laser tag, arcade and more. There are also many fun parks in Meridian. Tulley park, Settler's Park, Storey Park, Bear Creek Park, and Generations Plaza are just a few.
Roaring Springs is also a (9 comments)

How to look (and sound) like a local when you visit Boise, Idaho - 05/12/08 01:06 PM
So you're thinking about coming to Boise, Idaho to visit! We would love to have you! There are many wonderful sites to see (like actual Oregon Trail ruts), and fun things to do (Idaho Shakespeare Festival). The summer before I was a Sophmore in High School I went to visit my cousins in Oakland, California. In Boise, Idaho it is hot in the summer, so all I would wear was shorts. When I arrived in Oakland at my cousins house, they informed me that I looked like a tourist! They were embarrased to be seen with me the next few days as (8 comments)

When the going gets tough-the tough get CREATIVE! - 05/01/08 12:02 AM
We''ve all heard the old saying "When the going gets tough, the tough get going." But I thought the recent changes in the Real Estate market have added a new twist to that saying. I think the Builders and Agents that are not only surviving but also thriving are doing so by being CREATIVE if necessary. I recently read a blog by Dawn Rickabaugh about Owner Carry sales, where the owner acts like the bank, in hopes of attracting buyers that may not be able to qualify otherwise. Another trend I've noticed on the rise is Trading which was addressed by Ron Pickett in his blog. In (13 comments)
