The weather has been great and the real estate market in the area seems to be picking up. So I really wanted to sit down today and write an update for the Magalia market with a flashy headline like, “The Spring Real Estate Market Has Officially Started in Magalia.” Unfortunately, my update on the Magalia real estate market will have to go in a slightly different direction.

buyers: Paradise CA Weekly Real Estate Market Update - 04/23/08 01:20 PM
What a great week for the Paradise real estate market which experienced a bit of a surge in activity.  We had 17 properties close escrow doubling the averages we have been seeing in recent weeks.   On top of the 17 properties that closed escrow, Paradise had another 7 properties go under agreement.  The Paradise market also had another week of desirable interest rates being available, as they are holding constant at 5.88%for a 30 year fixed rate mortgage.

There was some great news this past week for the Magalia Real Estate Market. The long term 30 year fixed interest rate fell below 6%. The current rate is 5.87%. This is coupled with the 224 Magalia real estate listings currently available. There were 7 new listings that hit the market in Magalia last week, adding to the large inventory level available for Magalia buyers. Great rates with a lot of inventory; now is the perfect time for prospective Magalia home buyers to test out their negotiating power. Everyone seems to be preparing for the New Year in this Magalia real estate market. There were 12 new listings and 17 price reductions as Magalia home sellers try to get the attention of prospective Magalia home buyers. Actual sales activity was very light this past holiday week, with only 3 homes going under agreement and 4 homes selling. Interest rates inched up to 6.17 from 6.11 for 30 year fixed rate mortgages.
