prescott: Prescott Arizona, Great Outdoor Activities - 06/08/12 09:57 AM
I found this video today from the City of Prescott. It really shows off many of Prescott's wonderful outdoor attractions. If you are looking for a home in the Prescott area, you should consider talking to a professional agent like me. Because I work differently than most Realtors, I can save you time, energy and money.
Dave Conners has been a full time real estate professional in Prescott since 2001. His interests include hiking with his family, swimming and hang gliding. Here is a great website to help you find the perfect Prescott home for you: http://www.prescotthomeinthepines.com/ (0 comments)
Forest Trails Bank Owned Home, Inside Forest Trails is a gated subdivision called "The Ridge At Iron Springs" What excites me about this home is that the quality of the materials, fixtures and appliances used are not usually seen in homes at this price. I would expect a home of this quality to be valued at $150 per square foot. This home is listed at only $132 per square foot. If one were to visit many of the finest homes in Prescott as I have, one would quickly understand the value (0 comments)
prescott: Hassayampa Mtn Club Home For Sale, 732 Seri Prescott AZ Video in HD - 04/05/12 10:28 AM
Hassayampa Mtn Club Home For Sale, 732 Seri Prescott AZ I have been playing with video of my listings for months now, but recently decided to make the jump into high definition video. What I have found is that home buyers really appreciate being able to view high quality HD video of homes for sale. It saves them time and energy finding the best home. And since I already do 30 home previews each week, I simply pick the best deals to video with my GoPro HD2 camera.
This Hassayampa Mountain Club Prescott home is unusual in two ways: (0 comments)
Like many real estate agents I was looking for the holy grail of productivity. And like many other agents before me I tried everything: Open houses, flyers, website, Craigslist, bugging my friends and family etc. And like the advise I was given, it all worked... a little.
Fast foward 10 years and a few hundred transations. (more importantly is the advice I have received from highly successfull agents). If you wish to be a succeful real estate (0 comments)
Having recently finished a four week Keller Williams course on “Buyer Mastery” I wanted to share some of the awesome insights gained during the my time with instructor Steve Chader.
What is a buyer’s agent? First let’s explore what it means to be a “buyer’s agent”. To the average person (or to the average real estate agent for that matter) it means specializing in working with buyers rather than seller or both. So why do it? Everybody has strengths and weaknesses. Productive real estate teams tend to match team members to their (0 comments)
Over the last week world markets have been gripped by a tremendous amount of fear and uncertainty. These kinds of events are very unnerving for all of us. This is especially true if you are considering a major financial commitment like a new home. It is our job as real estate professionals to help our clients understand what all of this means to a home purchase transaction. Many people assumed the downgrade to US debt would mean a rise in mortgage rates. That is not currently the case. Mortgage bonds are the source of virtually all (0 comments)
prescott: Dearing Park, Prescott Arizona's Hidden Secret - 07/01/11 06:25 PM
For me, Prescott Arizona's Dearing Park was only a rumor for the first few years after I moved to Prescott. Located 3 miles West of Thumb Butte, Dearing Park is a little slice of what Prescott must have been like a hundred years ago. Because the elevation is 6,000 feet, the Ponderosa pines blanket this beautiful neighborhood. And since it is surrounded by Prescott National Forest, there is very little traffic, but plenty of wildlife and scenic beauty. Deer, javalina, and coyotes are everyday neighbors.
Dearing Park and neighboring Highland Pines hold roughly 200 homes so the neighbors tend (1 comments)

In addition to the wonderful 4-season climate, low crime rate, low taxes and friendly people, Prescott Arizona has a wealth of excellent schools from which to pick the best fit for your children. As we discovered when it was time to choose a school for our son (now 12), there are public, private and charter schools available. Unbeknownst to us, there was a hidden gem among the choices, Mountain Oak Charter School. Most Waldorf schools are private and tuition can range from $10,000 to $20,000 per year. However Mountain Oak is (0 comments)
While it may be no surprise that Keller Williams is dominating the Real Trends list of the top producing brokerages in the US, it is a surprise that the small community of Prescott Arizona has a brokerage in the "Big Leagues". In Fact Keller Williams Check Realty is the only brokerage in all of Northern Arizona to make the Real Trends list. Like Keller Williams International, our local Prescott AZ KW office leads the market in training and support for our agents. It's no accident that (2 comments)
prescott: Best Appliance Repair in Prescott Arizona - 05/25/11 03:07 PM
Who do I recommend for appliance repair in the Prescott Arizona area? Mike Buchta owner of Apache Appliance Repair, that's who. I have been using and recommending his service for over three years. Mike is really quick, thorough and his price is always fair.
Most recently Mike helped me to convert our natural gas dryer over to propane. He showed up at our house when he said he would and completed the work quickly and even did some additional maintenance to our dryer to save us from problems down the road. After the move, the dryer was not working right, (0 comments)

Last week I read an interesting A.R. blog post about Culture in Real Estate http://activerain.com/blogsview/2263358/win-win-a-noble-idea-reduced-to-meaningless-jargon- And it got me thinking about how the culture in my office fits in with my culture. I have been with 5 different brokerages in the 10 years I have been a full time Realtor. In the first 4 culture was never mentioned. That does not mean it did not exist, but that the brokers did not consciously choose a particular direction for it. The culture of my first brokerage for instance was equal parts fear and competition. This was with a land (4 comments)
It has been said that the job of a listing agent is to sell the house before the seller starts to hate you (tongue in cheek). But sometimes that relationship can go both ways. There are many interesting things that can happen between sellers and the listing agent during the weeks, months and sometimes even years they are working together to get a home sold. Let’s explore a few… 1. The seller, after looking at the properties which will be competing with her house decides to “Start high you know, (6 comments)
