The lobby of the town hall has been transformed into Art in Town Hall, a permanent gallery featuring the works of local artists. Fishers resident Pamela Newell is the first artist to be featured on the gallery walls. Newell's landscapes, gardens, and still lifes, many of local scenery, are on display through Feb. 10, 2012.

You can’t beat these seats! While out soaring the skies of Fishers, Indiana last week, the lucky occupants of this hot air balloon had a bird’s eye view of the Hamilton Southeastern High School versus Avon women’s soccer game. The match ended in a 1-1 tie, and after a win over crosstown rival Fishers Tigers Aug. 24, HSE is now ranked 2nd in the state. Go Royals!

While I much prefer the lush, green foliage that spring will soon bring to Fishers Indiana, the barren trees of winter do reveal some interesting surprises! You never know what you might find! This huge wasp nest is cozily nestled in the branches of a tree in the Fishers Windermere subdivision. It’s kind of pretty now, but BEEware later when the weather and wasps warm up!
