This year's events are taking place at the newly renovated Powers Hall in the Town Hall building. This will include nationally known comedian Jim Colliton who will focus on the crazy details of life in the suburbs, Melodius Funk jazz band and Charles River Ballet! Also new this year is the New Year's Dance Party with 7-piece band HIPSOCKET at the Needham VFW from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

It is amazing the difference in the time of processing a foreclosure from state.  I did not expect to see Massachusetts the number of days in comparison to other states.  This is a miserable experience no matter how long the process takes.  How hard it has to be for so many people.  I have a hard time just thinking about it.  I have seen the homes of people who had to get out without enough time to get all their belongings.  Horrible no matter how long.

Filene’s Boston, MA Memories
So many memories when I think of Filene’s or Filene’s Basement.  As a young child I remember my father taking me to Washington to shop.  My parents liked Filene’s over Jordan Marsh (gone).  Now both stores are gone.  I remember especially shopping for Easter clothes with my Dad in the city.  Those are fond memories.  It is sad to see another store go away.

I am not a mall shopper.  I love to shop in Needham, MA.  Shopping Needham is what I want to do.  There are some great shops and now a new one that my son told me about today.  It is Com LAX and it is located right across from Bertucci’s Restaurant and next to Needham Nails in that little strip mall.  So glad!  I suspect that not too many people know about the store.  Of course, I want to get the word out and the young men who helped me were terrific.  http://www.comlax.com/
