rotary club of needham: Our Town Needham - 05/21/09 06:41 PM
Welcome to my Needham, MA local blog. For some of the time I will be sharing with you "green" issues. Other blogs will focus on town events and what makes Needham the unique community it is. It is a little like "Mayberry" in some ways. The tree-lined street beckon you as you walk or travel through town. The lovely streets of Needham include but not exclusive are: Fair Oaks Park (by far the best street in Needham), Coulton Park, Harris Avenue, Great Plain Avenue, Woodlawn Street, May Street, Burr Drive, Coolidge Avenue, Eaton Road, Prince Street, Plymouth Road, Manning Street, Tower Avenue,

rotary club of needham: What is it like to Live in Needham, MA - 08/25/08 12:41 PM
To our family of three it has been a wonderful life. It sounds like a title to a movie doesn't it? If we look at the years since we married and before that it has been a great life in Needham and we could not have chosen a better place to live. We just happened to find a neighborhood that had the best family ever living just behind us. So for all the years we have lived in our home and raised our son we were lucky to have our best friends living right behind us. They have been like second

rotary club of needham: Homeless In Needham - 11/30/07 04:48 PM
I just finished reading an article in one of our local papers about a woman in my town and I had to share it here. Mrs. Leonard has been a professional who has really fallen on some bad times. It seems that about 10 years ago when she was 59 years old she decided to do some investing. She invested in Enron & WorldComm and we know the rest of the story on those 2 companies and their bankruptcies. She ran out of money and even the attorney she hired failed her. She said, "Once you hit poverty, there ain't ever

rotary club of needham: Needham Events - 11/10/07 12:13 PM

In honor of this annual football event the Rotary Clubs of Needham and Wellesley host a dinner on the Tuesday evening before the game and invite the football teams and coaches. They include a speaker who is usually a professional athlete and it is just
