Why is NAR fighting the 20% down rule in QRM? - 05/20/11 09:36 AM
Amen on this one! As realtors with 25 years in the marketplace we are only too aware of what can and has happened under these circumstances. The only people who are benefitting now are the folks who obtained those mortgages with less than 20% down, mostly 0-3% down, and are delinquent on mortgage payments. They are getting relief from the very same mortgage companies as well as our government. Folks who are having financial difficulties but who are still busting their butts to make their mortgage payments can get no relief! Isn't the NAR supposed to be on our side?

Lake Oconee Concerto Prevails! Singing periodical Cicadas have an incredibly amazing life cycle. They exist in only one place in the world: the eastern United States. Females lay eggs in tree twigs, which hatch in six to eight weeks. The "nymphs," as the newly hatched cicadas are called, are 1/10th of an inch long and drift down to the ground, where they quickly crawl 10 inches under the soil.
