What we don't do to close a sale. - 04/30/08 05:25 PM
Today was a good day. A closed sale. It went pending in Feb. only being on the market for 2 weeks. The buyer's were a bit rude and the seller's a bit cheap! and... the other realtor, although thorough, didn't know when to soften some of her rough edges to help both of these clients come to a win/win. So.... I step in... let the buyer's know I won't tell the seller's they have bad taste and their home is filthy, but I will say, their taste is different and wanted to make the home their own. Hey all you internet junkies..... I stumbled across Active Rain --- played around a bit and guess what? Responded to a referral on the board and got a listing and in 4 weeks, pending and will close in 2 weeks! The best part is.... working with another realtor in CA --- what a dream. She knows the business, knows what we need to do to sell and allows me to do my job. And..... another referral from somebody else she knows will be coming my way. With all that said... I really didn't know if anything would come of nosing around on (2 comments)

Another week spent in the car, comparing neighborhoods, prices and maint. fee's, but not all in vain. This is a couple we realtors love to work with. I met them at an open house, unfortunately the one I was sitting (one of my listings), was not what they were looking for so I shared some facts about the market. I waited to see if they were receptive or were they one of those who thought they knew everything? I let them wonder around a bit so they could talk between themselves without feeling like somebody was over their shoulder. I am a firm believer in (2 comments)
