Comcast -- 9 phone calls, 3 hrs. 14 min on hold, 1 missed scheduled service call to come out to "fix" the internet problem.... never showed.... Please, Please,,,,,, I beg you ..... I want to give you my money, I want your service desperately, please, can I buy and pay you for your service?????????? CAN ANYBODY HEAR ME????????????? apparently not, I ended up getting embarq, the local phone service to hook up my internet connection because I need to work! Can you believe this? 10 days later and comcast has no clue.... I know it isn't an isolated problem since many of

Naples, FL. Again, sales up from last years numbers, but potential buyer's down here in Naples, FL seem to be adopting some very "peculiar" behavior. I have a feeling that the national news has a lot to do with it, but it throws me never-the-less. Buyers seem a bit nervous. They just don't feel confident with their decision making process. I just got back from a 4th of July picnic where there were numerous realtors. We started talking about the market, crazy situations, crazy people, funny people, etc.. Then the topic of our brokers came up. It made me think. I have finally (after 5 yrs. in the business and new town) found a real "grown up" broker to hang my license. I mean just that... Yes, it took the lender (Countrywide of course)- more than 60 days to get a response and a counter for this buyer, but the buyer knew, from the beginning when signing the contract that it probably would take up to 90 days and they would counter and be prepared to pay more than the offer - (I know the lenders have a ratio to work with depending on the appraisal)--- The list price in the mls was very low to draw people in, but the lender still came down from that so, in truth --it truly is

Today was a good day. A closed sale. It went pending in Feb. only being on the market for 2 weeks. The buyer's were a bit rude and the seller's a bit cheap! and... the other realtor, although thorough, didn't know when to soften some of her rough edges to help both of these clients come to a win/win. So.... I step in... let the buyer's know I won't tell the seller's they have bad taste and their home is filthy, but I will say, their taste is different and wanted to make the home their own. Another week spent in the car, comparing neighborhoods, prices and maint. fee's, but not all in vain. This is a couple we realtors love to work with. I met them at an open house, unfortunately the one I was sitting (one of my listings), was not what they were looking for so I shared some facts about the market. I waited to see if they were receptive or were they one of those who thought they knew everything? Hello to my peers. Now, when you are up north and the cold and snow are really starting to get to you.... just think of us down here in SW Florida ---and come visit or send your clients to us. Naples, FL is so populated now -- we yearly citizens love the company and the hub of activity - probably because we know it won't last and we will have our quite town back in the summer. Until then.... restraunts are full, roads are busy with traffic and .... best of all (drum roll)......... second home buyers are starting to buy again!!!! Take

I am a business person. I watch numbers and analyze behavior to see how they affect these numbers. The Naples market is better then it has been in a couple of years. It is still slow, but not following the national numbers the news media keeps telling us. This is Naples! There is only so much land and only the 3rd yr of baby boomers.
