short sale information: Short Sales are Getting SHORTER.. Horary!!! - 05/12/12 12:42 PM

Are short sales really getting shorter or are they grandfathered in to take the same amount of time? I personally have not found any change in their delivery to decrease the time. All of our files are in the 60-90 day processing time without any hint of closure. I do hold out they all will come up with a system to shave time off the process, just haven’t seen it yet.
Just in New Short Sale Deadlines go into effect.
As part of a settlement with state attorneys general, the five largest mortgage servicers are adopting new requirements for … (1 comments)

short sale information: Why would a bank agree to let a borrower off the hook in Palm Beach County, Florida - 02/12/12 03:32 PM

WHY WOULD A BANK AGREE TO LET A BORROWER OFF THE HOOK IN PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA

Banks aren’t in the real estate business. They don’t want to own your home. And because banks were as blind sighted by the foreclosure crisis as everyone else, they already have more homes on their books than they can expect to sell in a year.

If there’s one word that describes how banks feel about foreclosures right now it’s:

ENOUGH!

As a result, many banks are now offering cash incentives and have speeded up … (1 comments)

short sale information: Homeowners Have You Fallen Behind on Your Mortgage Payments? - 02/12/12 03:10 PM

Homeowners Have You Fallen Behind on Your Mortgage Payments? If you would like to stay in your home and have fallen behind on payments due to a short-term financial setback such as an unexpected expense or a temporary loss of income:
A Forbearance allows you to suspend payments for a specified time period. At the specified period, the missed payments are either repaid in full or added on as an extension to the term of the loan.
A Repayment Plan is similar to forbearance, although the past-due loan amount is spread out over a specified time frame, increasing … (0 comments)

short sale information: All Hands On Deck, We Are About To Short Sale...in Palm Beach County - 02/12/12 02:18 PM

All Hands On Deck, We Are About To Short Sale..in Palm Beach County Most of us grew up thinking that if we planned well and played by the rules; we’d never have to stand by as our financial lives unraveled.
But upheaval on Wall Street, unacceptable rates of unemployment and plummeting real estate values have taken their toll.  Since 2007, 7.9 million homeowners have lost their homes to foreclosure. Current estimates are that one in four homeowners owe more on their mortgages than they could get from the sale of their home. Millions more homes will be lost to … (0 comments)

ATTENTION HOMEOWNERS: The Lenders Are Giving Away Cash For Free…
As you may or may not be aware, major lenders like J.P. Morgan Chase, CitiMortgage, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America are giving away cash as an enticement in a short sale to foreclosure. This new pilot program gives the incentive to the homeowner to work with a Realtor to facilitate a sale of the property to avoid being foreclosed on.
At this point the bank has already agreed to approve a short sale thus  eliminating a lot of the what-ifs. This also removes the guessing and additional paper work … (3 comments)

short sale information: Are You Missing The REO Train of Opportunity?? - 01/08/12 03:12 PM

Are You Missing The REO Train of Opportunity??
With asset managers gearing up for the release of thousands of pre-foreclosure properties they will soon be busier than ever.
These are just a few for the National REO Statistics.
1,750,000 REO’s still have not been listed or placed in the market’s inventory
3,500,000 Mortgages are still currently in Default
15,000,000 Homes are under water or have negative equities
It is a real possibility that Short Sales will be assigned by the same methods as REO properties.
Keep in mind that the sales duration of REO properties is much … (1 comments)

Renewed trust for tough times

Does it feel like trust is one of the major casualties of the economic meltdown of 2008 – followed by the “Great Recession,” the “Jobless Recovery” and now the threat of a “Double Dip Recession?”
Weren’t we assured that home values were destined to go up and up and up?
There have been lots of promises that help is on the way—and lots of warnings of scams and schemes that have   only served to confuse the matter. So where’s a homeowner who’s underwater or overleveraged to turn?
Here’s the bottom line: the choices … (1 comments)
