Easy to Use Zip Code Tool...Why Didn't I Think of That Before? - 09/24/10 09:19 PM
Sometimes, when researching properties to show a client, we need to know the zip code of a particular area, especially in larger municipalities. Most MLS's provide the capability to search by zip code and it helps to know the exact boundaries the zip code encompasses. Today while searching for comparables, I found this easy-to-use zip code tool -- ZipMap.net. You can enter a known zip code and see a google map with the zip code overlay, or enter the address and find the zip code. I was so impressed with this simple site that I've added in to my website. Try ZipMap.net. You'll (4 comments)
Farmington Station Subdivision Expands into Next Phase of Construction - 09/22/10 05:07 PM
Today I toured the new construction properties being built in Rankin County's Farmington Station. Although the September weather is still rather warm in central MS, it was worthwhile to see the quality of construction evident in these new homes. Ranging in price from the mid $150s to the $180s, Farmington Station offers quality AND affordability. The builders offer an array of features, from granite tile counter tops, custom cabinets, and built-in storage to a fully sodded yard, to a whirlpool tub with separate shower. *DISCLAIMER: All features may not be standard, depending on the builder. Most of the homes are 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, (0 comments)

Fourteen houses expired during this time frame, indicating the prices were unacceptable to buyers. The average sales price of homes in this area of Brandon is $145,000. If a (2 comments)

Laminate, Hardwood or Engineered Hardwood???? - 09/05/10 10:54 AM
As Realtors, we hear this question all the time. Thank you, John, for sharing this article with us. In my home, I have engineered hardwood, and the difference is barely detectable. Here is an excellent description of the various types of flooring commonly found in homes. Via John Wojtasiak (Keller Williams Realty): I have a Virginia Beach Foreclosure listing and have been holding Open Houses quite regularly. One question I always get is "are the floors hardwood, laminate or engineered hardwood"? I have had many different opinions on what they were, but without tearing up a piece to to inspect it, I was (1 comments)
If You're Looking For a Sweet Deal, Look in Brandon's Crossgates! - 09/02/10 09:21 PM
Like most folks, I enjoy finding a deal. And sometimes when I find a bargain, I can't act on it for one reason or another. Imagine my surprise when I found a 3 BR 2 Bath home in Brandon's Crossgates today, listed for $85,000! Homes in Crossgates Subdivision typically list between $100,000-$250,000. Here's a list of all homes currently for sale in Crossgates. I got in my car as soon as possible, camera in hand, so I could share the photos with you, my dear reader.
Now, this house will require some work, but it is clean, with scored concrete floors, (3 comments)
