Finding foreclosures in the Metro Jackson MS area isn't difficult. You just need to look in the right place. Some people erroneously think they need to buy a "list" or sign up for a FREE 7-day trial (then have your credit card billed after the seven days are up!) This is not necessary. In the metro Jackson area, which includes Ridgeland, Madison, Brandon, Flowood, and Pearl, you only need to visit ONE website to find available foreclosures. And while you're there, you can check out important area information, learn what each city has to offer, research local schools, and search the Jackson MS

mississippi foreclosures: It's Foreclosure Friday Time - March 20, 2009 - 03/20/09 10:00 AM
This is the third weekly installment of my series, Foreclosure Friday. Each issue contains foreclosure tidbits and gives access to foreclosures throughout Mississippi via HUD, VA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. As I mentioned in my previous posts, when buying a HUD foreclosure, only owner-occupants can bid during the first 10-day bid period. The longer a HUD home remains on the market, the more likely for either a price reduction or for HUD to accept a lesser sales price. mississippi foreclosures: Foreclosure Friday - March 13, 2009 - Current MS Foreclosures - 03/13/09 10:02 AM
Last week I wrote the premiere edition of Foreclosure Friday, a series of blog posts designed to discuss buying foreclosures. As a reminder, the tips in last week's issue were: Arrange financing before beginning your search for a home. Find a qualified agent to help you in your search for a foreclosure. An owner-occupant, quite simply, is someone buying

This post marks the inaugural issue of a series featuring Mississippi Foreclosures. Since HUD announces their new listings, price revisions, etc., on Fridays, my weekly post will aptly be named Foreclosure Friday. First, a brief introduction into buying a foreclosed property: Anyone can buy a foreclosure, if you have the cash OR can obtain a loan (mortgage). In the past, prospects have called to ask whether foreclosed homes are available to rent (the answer is NO) or if financing is available to people with credit issues, bankruptcies, etc. Although anyone CAN buy a foreclosure, you still must QUALIFY for the mortgage. It is strongly advised if you are looking
