I need help.  I need to order calendars and I have changed Real Estate Companies so I want to change my brand.  I would like to order desk tent calendars but am unsure about who is a good and reliable printer that wouldn't go over my budget.
I would appreciate any advice as I need to get on this right away as tomorrow is Nov 1.  Thanks in advance

Life on the prairie in Post Falls Idaho - 10/30/11 06:46 PM
Well here on the prairie today, in Post Falls, it is rainy, but the temperature is a pleasant 50 degrees  Yesterday we did the final clean-up in the garden; getting the last of the corn stalks out.  The pheasants and the quail have lost another of their favorite hiding places.
Rumor has it that snow might be here by this coming weekend.  We are at about 2200 feet elevation here in North Idaho, so if the foothills are gettiing snow there is a good chance that the prairie will see some, but maybe only flurries.  I will keep you posted and if we … (0 comments)

Centennial Trail access by Frontier Ice Arena is complete - 10/29/11 10:50 PM
FRONTIER ICE ARENA, here in Coeur d'Alene,  is moving forward toward their goal of opening in late November.  I just dove by today to see how the parking lot paving was coming along and imagine my surprise to find the access trail to Centennial Trail (Walking and Bicycle) is complete. The access is all landscaped and grass seed has been blown in.  The parking area is paved and lines for parking are all there including Handicapped spots.

The paving has also started over by the front doors to the ice arena.I would guess with our nice weather (that we are … (0 comments)

Post falls, Idaho, is home to a very interesting company called ALK Abello. A leading producer of pharmaceuticals for allergy immunotherapy.  They have about 70 employees and have built their facility on a 12.5 acre site in Riverbend Commerce Park just south of I90.  They also have a 600 acre farm in Plummer Idaho where they grow a variety of grasses and other plants to produce pollens which are used as raw materials for allergy immunotherapy.  They are one of North America's largest suppliers of allergen source materials.
North Idaho and regional government have good relationships with these new companies;  these … (1 comments)

From the Prairie here in Post Falls idaho - 10/23/11 08:36 PM
I had the opportunity to spend the day with two of my grandsons.  They came over to help clean up the garden beds for winter.  They are 14 and 11 years old. I have to tell you that they were real troopers!  The day started with serious rain here on the prairie in Post falls. The boys and I waited for the rain to stop and when it didn't; we went out to work anyway to clean up the garden beds (we have 2 gardens).
Three truck loads later, by now it was mid afternoon and we were done for the day! … (1 comments)

Realtor Seminar first to use the new Kootenai Title training/meeting room - 10/22/11 08:56 PM
For the last two days I have been in a Realtor Seminar in Kootenai Titile Company's new training room.  This semianr was the first event to be held there.  What a nice facility too, lots of parking and the room has lots of natural light plus a balcony that looks out on the Spokane River; that we could use during breaks.
Kootenai Title in Coeur d'Alene says the the room will be available for meetings for the community.  Keller Williams Realty will be using the room on Wednesday mornings for their general office meetings.  Kootenai Title says please stop by and … (0 comments)

Post Falls Chamber Chili cook-off - 10/21/11 03:54 PM
Post Falls Chamber Chili cook-off was last night and what a great event.  There were lots of chilies and they were all great.  My personal favorite was a chili made with Dr Pepper and pineapple.  The flavors were well blended and balanced.
Where can you get a Root Beer Float for only $1?  Well you could last night from the Post Fall High School cheerleaders.  This was a fundraiser for a very avtice group of young people.
The Post Falls Food Bank was there last night with a very tasty Baja soup that was very good.  They are having a "Big … (0 comments)

Realtor Safety at Center Target Sports in Post Falls Idaho - 10/20/11 04:24 PM
Safety should be on all our minds especially, as the days are getting shorter and we are in parking lots in the dark a lot more now.  I took a class at Center Target  that was aimed at Realtor Safety.  Now I am not saying that you need to be armed with a real live gun, but we do need to be aware of our surroundings, as we go out to our cars or even as we walk our pets in our own neighborhoods.  The most important thing we need to do is be observant and if something does't seen right, … (0 comments)

Post Falls Chamber Chili & Soup Cook-off Thur Oct 20th - 10/19/11 02:53 PM
Wow what a great time to come and get to know your neighbors.  Reports from the cook-off last year were excellent and a good time is expected to be had by all this year.  There are 9 competitors in the cook-off this year, plus the cheer leaders are making root beers floats for only $1.00.  The cost is only $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for kids 8 and under, makes making plans for dinner real simple.  The tasting starts at 4pm and goes until 7pm.

New Hockey Rink in North Idaho - 10/17/11 04:06 PM
KYRO Ice Arena located in North Idaho in the Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls area is shooting for a late November opening.  The new name for the ice arena will be Frontier Ice Arena and it will be a NHL size rink, have 5 locker rooms, stadium seating, and a heated lobby with viewing to the ice rink.
KYRO has been closed since December of 2008 after over 90 inches of snow on the roof caused the roof to collapse.  This has made it hard for all of our ice skakers as they have had to drive to the Spokane area to … (2 comments)

Best Place to live in North Idaho - 10/16/11 01:42 PM

One of the great things about living in North Idaho is the fact that we have four distinct seasons and we are now in a beautiful fall season.  We are expecting our first hard frost tonight or tomorrow night and it will be sad to see our lovely flowers, that we have had all summer and fall, go away.  Of course we have Thanksgiving and Christmas to look forward to; with the snow covering the fall colors (which are great this year).

The garden did pretty well in spite of our cool evenings and I will be … (2 comments)

The KROC Center, what an asset to our communities of Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Hayden and Rathdrum!  The KROC Center is only a couple of years old and already they have approximately 20,000 members (in a city of 35,000). The KROC Center came to our area as a joint effort with Ray and Joan Kroc (McDonalds) , the Salvation Army and all our of our local communities working together.
The Kroc Center serves the community in a multitude of different ways, for example, youth and adult workshops, classes, athletics (fitness, … (2 comments)

"Made in America" - 10/14/11 12:41 PM
I wrote about KTEC the other day when they had their ground breaking, and I am thinking that not enough people understand the value of such a facility in our community.  This will allow training for so many of of our young people in skills that they can take to higher level in their lifetime.  A hands on skill does not say that a person cannot or does not need to go on to higher learning.  KTEC will give them the means to get there.
We all want to see more "Made in America" and it will start right here as … (0 comments)

North Idaho is a great caring community - 10/11/11 05:22 PM

One of our local restaurants,  Applebee’s, is helping out with fundraising for the Cardinals women’s basketball team from North Idaho College. The restaurant generously lets the basketball team come in and serve breakfast to their supporters and the team gets to keep roughly 75% of the proceeds collected. What a great community sponsor!
Julia, who plays center and is from Helsinki Finland, is over here on a sports scholarship. She is in the picture with two of my grandsons and they are obviously enjoying themselves!
In North Idaho we are blessed to be part of such a caring community.

BLOG from Post Falls 10-9-11 - 10/10/11 01:08 AM
Exciting times for Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls and Rathdrum and actually all of North Idaho as this past week we had two ground-breaking events.
The first one was for KTEC, a technical school supported by the three school districts, Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls and Lakeland.  The new facility plans to be open fall of 2012.
The other ground-breaking was for Ground Force Manufacturing and they broke ground for a new facility called UnderGround Force that will manufacture equipment for the mining industry. They are looking to fill 150 new jobs in our area. They are currently looking for welders, painters … (0 comments)

I have been in Real Estate for over 8 years here in North Idaho.  I live with my husband of 45 years and have 4 terrific grandsons who play hockey.
One of the reasons I love Real Estate is that I am constantly pushed to learn something new.  So here I am on the brink of BLOGGING.  This is a big first for me.
I am an active member in the Post Falls Chamber focusing on the Ambassadors who assist in the many chamber events and we also welcome new members.
