The importance of liking who you work with. - 06/28/12 03:34 PM
I've hired a couple new Realtors over the last month, and last night we had a get together at the Cheesecake Factory so that everyone could mingle and get to know each other a bit more.
We had a terrific time, and as I looked around, I realized that I really like everyone I work with. In trying to expand my firm and searching for new Agents, I decided to go with quality over quantity, and I have to say that I'm really happy with my decision.
I spend a lot of time helping all of my Agents with … (19 comments)

Dentention Center Drama in SouthWest Ranches, FL - 06/26/12 05:51 PM
Wow the May issue of DRW Magazine had some serious articles! I found another great issue regarding the detention center debate written by Southwest Ranches Council Member Steve Breitkreuz. For those who aren’t familiar with this issue, there has been a debate in Southwest Ranches (western Broward County) over a potential Detention Center being built there to detain illegal immigrants prior to their deportation. This is a debate that has understandably brought out a lot of very strong opinions from both ends of the argument, and Council Member Breitkreuz has done his best to remain neutral while taking everyone’s thoughts into … (2 comments)

Just Sold by Green Realty Properties ~ 7673 Ramona Street, Miramar, FL - 06/23/12 10:55 AM

7673 Ramona Street, Miramar, FL 33023

Green Realty Properties was the Listing Brokerage and Selling Brokerage firm in this sale that closed on June 15, 2012. I listed the home and Chris Green had the perfect buyer for it!

This was yet another very sought after home that we listed. The location and the price brought in a lot of interest, and we couldn’t keep up with the number of inquiries that came in for this property. Our very own Chris Green brought in the strongest offer, and the Sellers were able to have peace of … (8 comments)

Broward County Politicking over 911 Emergency System - 06/20/12 04:14 PM
I was reading through May’s DRW magazine (I know, I’m behind :o/), and I came across an article written by Cooper City Mayor Debby Eisinger about consolidating 911 services county-wide. I didn’t realize how fragmented the 911 service centers are, so this was an interesting read for me. Did you know that Broward County is served by 11 different dispatch center for 911 calls? Each center has different levels of service, costs per call, and equipment that they use. I was also surprised to find out that not every municipality has its own dispatch center. Because there are so many centers, … (7 comments)

Davie homeowners, register your yards!
Davie Mayor Judy Paul would like to remind Town of Davie homeowners that the town is encouraging homeowners that are willing to plant gardens for butterflies and birds to do so. You can help the preservation of the environment by registering your yard and helping a community wide effort to be a certified municipality.

You can visit www.nwf.org to fill a brief survey and for information. For $20.00, the National Wildlife Federation will send you a yard sign and certificate that you can bring to the Davie Town Nursery in exchange for a free … (8 comments)

Bon Jovi is making his Solo Debut in Hollywood FL on 7/26. - 06/15/12 01:05 PM
Bon Jovi is making his solo debut at the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, FL on July 26, and it should be no surprise to anyone that he chose South Florida. Being that I’m his biggest fan ever (#1 fan to be exact), and being that South Florida is where I live, it makes perfect sense that he chose to start here. He clearly did this for me…clearly :o)
I am beyond excited, and it feels like time is dragging until the concert (and then time will drag until the next concert). I’ll be out of town on a CDPE Convention … (17 comments)

WANTED! PUPPY AND KITTEN FOSTER CARE VOLUNTEERS IN BROWARD COUNTY. - 06/03/12 09:07 AM
For anyone in Broward County looking to help out innocent animals, please read the information below my post.
We desperately need fosters. There are a lot of puppies and kitties who can’t make it in the shelter on their own. If their mom isn’t around, the babies can’t be in the shelter. Orphans have to be put down right away because they need a human to feed them. Kitties and puppies that do have moms still get sick and die within days if the family isn’t taken out of the shelter. Please consider fostering one of these babies until they … (12 comments)
