Short Sale Sellers and Realtors were concerned that the Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act was set to expire in the end of 2012. Thankfully, Congress passed an extension through 2013 as part of their deal to avoid the fiscal cliff. This extension comes as a releif to many and I beleive will help the recovering real estate market. I am honored to have contributed to BankRate's article below.

The Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act hasn’t been extended yet, so this is of utmost importance to anyone involved in short sales to make sure that this act is extended. Realtors who do short sales and sellers considering doing a short sale should take a look at this BankRate.com article that I was fortunate enough to contribute to.
