I read an article in DRW Magazine by William E. Lewis, Jr. about three new tools that have recently been introduced by the Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO), and found one of them particularly interesting interesting. The BSO developed their own SMS version of Twitter called CyberVisor, which is an advisory email and text system that provides subscribers vital information about criminal activity, traffic issues, security concerns, upcoming events, public safety initiatives, important safety tips, etc. Sheriff Al Lamberti commented that he's a firm believer in the more informed you are, the safer you are.
