MY LAST BLOG OF 2010! It is always amazing to me how quickly a year goes by the older that I get. But here I am again wondering where 2010 has gone! For many, 2010 is a year they hope to never repeat. Although it has been a challenging year in our business I believe it has been a year of great strides. For those of us with staying power, I believe we are in a good position as market conditions improve. OK NOW THIS IS WEIRD...... So I am on vacation and actually on a ski slope yesterday when an email from my showing service shows me scheduled to show two homes today. One of them was my listing and the other is someone elses. I immediately call the service to say that I had NOT scheduled these showings and how could they have been put in my name without a showing code that is required when making the appointments. The packages have been opened, visitors are leaving and our homes are returning to a somewhat normal state. Now it is time to get our minds back on work. I have been playing with my new iPad all weekend and have discovered some problem areas that I have experienced thus far: *I can not upload pictures from this site when writing a post. The box comes up but is missing the part that allows you to search for your picture??? *I can only type a blog from the HTML section. The other one will not allow me to write???? *Commenting on posts took some trickiness on my part. Christmas is officially over but the memories will continue to linger. Thankfully due to our Kodak moments, we are able to capture and remember these times forever. I have had a great time capturing some Christmas memories this year. The true meaning of Christmas of course is our Lord and Savior coming into this world. After a 17 year hiatus, The Woodlands will have another marathon! The announcement came this past Saturday at Market Street at a press conference by the famous marathon runner Ryan Hall!
The Woodlands Marathon will be put on by the Woodlands-based Launch Multisport. The even is scheduled for March 3, 2012. There will also be a half marathon, a 5K and a 2K family walk.

"Mom, I am in labor a week early!", I heard my daughter tell me! My flight was scheduled for the following week and it coincided with Spring Break. After calling every airline around, no flights were available for me to get from Houston to Florida!

Conroe Independent School District received very high marks from the State of Texas! CISD was one of 43 districts in the entire state out of 1,235 districts to receive the coveted FIVE STAR RATING!

Yes, buyers DO look in pantries, closets, even drawers! I always encourage Sellers to tackle one closet or room at a time and clear out the clutter! Not only will it make a different when those buyers are sniffing around, it will make getting ready to move so much easier!

My children's grandfather, Isham B. Cogdell Jr. passed away last week and the memorial service was held on Monday. As I was listening to the wonderful stories about this remarkable man, we were all reminded what an amazing generation these men and women came from.
IB as he was known to his family and friends was born on November 19, 1921. His generation saw the great depression, WWII, Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

Yesterday we had my side of the family early Christmas gathering. Aunts, Uncles, cousins, brothers, sisters, Mothers and Fathers, children and grandchildren all descended upon my mothers home! We always get together early so that everyone can be with their respective immediate families on Christmas.
It is hectic but fun. Wrapping paper flying, kids running around, adults laughing and talking, and of course lots of food!
