MY THANKSGIVING BLESSING!
I have so many things to be thankful of this Thanksgiving but the one little thing that brings me so much joy is my precious little grandson Cayden. I just have to be a bragging Grandmother and show off my little man to you all. He is four months old and is just about the sweetest thing around.

Can't believe that the Thanksgiving weekend is almost over. What a wonderful time we had with family and friends visiting. The house was at full swing with the hustle and bustle of people coming and going, food being prepared and laughter floating throughout.
We enjoyed a very mixed Thanksgiving crowd. Along with our family, we invited a couple that has only been in this country for five weeks from Norway. They had never experienced an American Thanksgiving so it was really fun introducing them to this tradition.

The Woodlands High School Higlander football team defeated Mesquite yesterday 24-6. This win puts the Higlanders in the third round of the State 5A playoffs! The Higlanders have continued their strong season advancing each week and eliminating team after team.
The Woodlands will meet up with Dallas Skyline next Saturday, December 3 at 4:00 p.m. in Waco at the Waco ISD Stadium. The game will determine who will advance to the final State game that is scheduled for Saturday, December 17 at 4 p.m. in Dallas at the Cowboy Stadium.

This past week while running the Gooses Acre run down at The Woodland Waterway, we experienced the drama and excitement of a two-alarm fire. Just as we had completed our run we began hearing sirens and then seeing all of the fire trucks pulling up right next to the restaurant where we were, Goose's Acre.
A few minutes later, we were all being whisked out of the restaurant as smoke began billowing out of the top. Luckily everyone remained calm and simply walked up the steps to the main street where we watched in … (1 comments)

HAS GONE TO THE DOGS!
Today as we were decorating the house for Christmas, we came upon the Santa dog hats that we bought last year. Before the dogs could run and hide, we grabbed them and donned the perky red hats. The dogs were not pleased.
As we laughed hysterically, those guys just sat there frozen as if to say, "hurry up and get this over with!". We snapped some pictures as they gave us some really pitiful looks. Oh my gosh my sides still hurt from laughing.

Isn't it nice to be able to get a new week to look forward to? No matter what has happened in the past, having a fresh start is always a good thing. As we complete another week, we can begin to focus on the time we have ahead of us.
If you had a bad week, focus on what will better this week. Don't dwell on the past but certainly learn from your mistakes and move on. Seeing the sun shining another day always puts things in a new perspective.

The Viking Cooking School located in the Hubbell & Hudson market is a great way to spend an evening with friends. My husband and I went last night and had a ball with our neighbors. We cooked up a scrumptious meal and had a fabulous time doing so.

When you have finally reached the point in your home buying contract when the inspection has been completed and now you have to decide which items you want the Seller to repair, this is the second part of the negotiation. So many people think that the negotiation is over after the almighty "price" has been agreed upon. Not so fast!

People ask me all of the time why I run so much. My answer is simple, “I run because I can.” That may sound like a strange way to answer this question but it goes very deep for me. The song by one of my all-time favorite bands the Bee Gees called “Stayin Alive” is my mantra.

I am now sitting at the Charleston, SC airport as I await my flight back home to Houston. This was my first visit to this area and have to say that I enjoyed every minute. I will be writing and posting some great pictures and stories that we experienced.
