Can anyone share/shed some light on who this company is? They are at present advertising that agents can join for a one time fee of $249.00, however this is not just it! They have subdivided the Broker/Agent category into three (3) different sub-areas. You can sign on to just do BPO's, sign on to list REO assets, and be on the list to market Approved Short Sale assets, all for $249.00 individually!!  They are also looking for Attorneys, Title and Escrow companies, Contractors and other Vendors. (www.reoagentedge.com).

Many areas in Southwest OK were severely hit by a winter storm on Thursday. Entire counties were left in the dark, as the ice did it's damage. Slowly some towns are melting their way back. However, many places will not have power it is said for another week at best. I ask that you keep the effected in your prayers in the coming difficult days and possibly weeks ahead.

Can anyone share/shed some light on who this company is? They are at present advertising that agents can join through 29 January for the fee of $399.00. Are they just another company trying to get in on the Default Property Services industry?  I clicked the Clients tab on their site www.reox.net to see who were some of the Asset mangers and Lenders.. none listed! They have a scrolling banner with what they say are testimonials of various Asset Mangers.

Dear Paul,

If you're having difficulty with forms, it will have to do with your browser or your Adobe Reader.

Equator is not compatible with the AOL or Safari browsers. For application optimization use Internet Explorer (6.0 or later), or Mozilla FireFox.

ADOBE READER - TEST COMPATIBILITY

The Equator system makes extensive use of online PDF Forms. You can test your Adobe Reader compatibility with our online documents:

Login to your account at www.equator.com.

Near the bottom of the "My Account" page you will see, "Test your compatibility with our online PDF Forms."

Please take a few seconds to run the test by clicking the "Test PDF" link. This will open an online document.

Enter your name in the box and click "Submit."

If your version of the Adobe Reader is compatible, a message box will pop up that states "Test Form Submitted Successfully."

ADOBE READER - CURRENT VERSION

Check the Adobe Reader website for the latest version.

To check the version the Adobe Reader installed on your computer:

Open the Adobe Reader.

Click on the "Help" tab.

Select "About Adobe Reader."

A pop up window will launch with corresponding version information.

The Equator platform supports the Adobe Reader 7.0 and higher. If you have an Adobe Reader version less than 6.x you will need to uninstall. To do this, open the Control Panel on your computer and select "Add or Remove Programs" (the Windows Vista equivalent is "Programs and Features").

The list is alphabetized so the Adobe Reader should be near the top. Highlight the version and select "Remove."

Multiple versions of the Adobe Reader, may create conflicts. Please verify that the latest version of the Adobe Reader is installed.

Using the Adobe Reader version 7.0 and higher may return the following error message:

"You cannot save data typed into this form. Please print your completed form if you would like a copy for your records."

When you see this message box, click on "Do not show this message again" and then click on the "CLOSE" button.

You will not be able to submit the form successfully until this is done.

ADOBE READER - RUNNING A REPAIR

If you're having trouble saving your online PDF forms or if the forms are not working properly, we recommend running a repair on Adobe Reader.

To run a repair:

Exit your internet browser

Open the Adobe Reader program

Choose "Help"

Select "Detect and Repair" (for Adobe Reader 7.0 or above) or "Repair Adobe Reader Installation" (for Adobe Reader 8.0 or higher).

A window will appear stating "Please wait while Windows configures Adobe Reader"

When the repair window closes reopen your internet browser and test your online form.

Thank you,

Nichole

Its is said if you are familiar with the Short Sale process, throw all that knowledge out. Purge your memory! From what I read about the program, it may take a bit of relearning. Of the several new procedures, the one(s) that stood out were: we longer have to fight the lender on commisions, what ever is agreed upon by the seller is what it shall be, with a cap of 6%, the listing period will be set by the lender loss mitigation negotiator, and lastly the lender establishes the listing price.

According to

SUBCHAPTER 13. TRUST ACCOUNT PROCEDURES

605:10-13-1. Duty to account; broker

Under paragraph (c)  Interest bearing account.

"(A broker shall not be prohibited from placing escrow monies in an interest bearing account; however, he or she must disclose in writing to all parties that the account bears interest and identify the party receiving the interest. The Commission does not prohibit the broker from receiving the earned interest. In the event the interest is credited to the broker, the broker should, upon final consummation of the transaction, immediately disburse the interest from the account or insure that the amount does not exceed a reasonable amount to cover normal financial institution charges. The broker is required to maintain complete and accurate records of the interest earned. The interest bearing account must be a demand type account; this prohibits the use of certificate of deposit or other types of time deposits as trust/escrow accounts.)"

So how can the new residential contract demand that the interest be paid to "Oklahoma Housing Foundation? The statement only appears in the Residential contract.

rpaclogoDo not blink! The fundraising deadline for 2009 RPAC funds is quickly approaching - October 16, 2009. The scoreboard shows several boards/associations are very close to meeting their fundraising goals. Your contribution could make the difference!

why have't you logged inWhy are the people at Point2Agent worried about my last login? I would understand if they were free, but they are not. Each month my fee is paid through my card. But they say if I do not login the website will be considered inactive. If it goes inactive, will they stop taking my money?

The construction permits topped out at over $8.2 million last month, due to steady new home construction new constructionalong with commercial and nonprofit ventures. There were a total of 18 new home permits issued valued at nearly $3.1 million. This figure is down from the August total, but up from the same period last year.

The average number of closing also increased from an average 106.8 to 157 per month for the past six months (March - August), couple with an average price increase of approximately 13%. The new construction sales numbers increase from 149 (March - August 2008) to 181 for the same period this year (March - August 2009).

thumbs upMany of these improvements are thought to be occuring for several reasons; improved consumer confidence in the Lawton area, very attractive interest rates, the arrival of new families (BRAC). Although the influx of the military families has not had any large immediate effect; many hold off from buying right away due to frequent deployments, having homes in other parts of the country that are not experiencing the same results as Lawton and the rest of Oklahoma has. But in the next two to three years there is expected another construction boost.

Hopefully after the name change "Equator" will do something about the BPO form on their site. On several occasion I have filled in the entire form, hit save submit and it take me back to the login page....all data lost!! It does not have the capability to save input data as you go along, if you hit save it takes you out of the form. Normal input for me takes about 30 minutes if I do not have anyone distrub me. Has this happened to anyone else?
