Yep, believe it or not! The California Association of Realtors (CAR) reported today that sales in the Palm Springs area are up 16.4% from last month....good news! Although sales are down from the same period last year, at least things seem to be recovering from the mortgage difficulties from this past August. (1 comments)

The Public Arts commission has voted unanimously to recommend removing the Rainmaker Fountain at Frances Stevens Park. The fountain costs about $50,000 a year to maintain, and often does not work. $35,000 was spent last year trying to repair it. The Parks and Recreation department has estimated it would cost between $65,000 (2 comments)
