Here are the figures for California- if you look at the averages for California for % Change in Sales from 2007, Palm Springs if one of the areas least affected by the current market conditions. Conventional Loan limits increased in Riverside county - 03/07/08 08:22 PM
For Purchase and Refinance transactions as of April 1st 2008 the loan limit in Riverside County will be increased from the current $417,000 amount to $500,000 for a one unit property. Yesterday, a new REO listing came on the market for $249,000, a 3 bedroom 2 bath mid-centry fixer, at about $178/sf in Palm Springs. Today, the selling agent informed me that there are already 5 offers, the lowest one being at asking price!!
