I know times are tough and good people have lost their jobs and are struggling to keep their homes during this recession however Congressman Frank needs to be cut off from Uncle Sam's wallet before the minority becomes the majority. Even FDR knew that a person earning a wage was a more productive and a better citizen than someone who just took a hand out. The government imposed moratorium may have helped in the short term to lower REO inventory and allow 20% of eligible homeowners to modify their mortgages but the 600 pound gorilla is still in the room. As the moratorium comes to an end an unemployment still hovering around 10.5% there will be a second tsunami of foreclosures during the first and second quarters in 2010.
The news reports show increased delinquent mortgages are occurring all over the US and there is still a large number of homes that were foreclosed on that are still not listed for sale aka Ghosts or Shadow Inventory. … (3 comments)
