First and foremost if you combine your home and auto with the same company you automatically save on both. 
Many people are not familiar with the coverages for the auto policy.  What you should do as a consumer is make sure you talk to your agent about the different coverages and the different amounts of coverage.  It is very important that you take this procedure as a learning experience if you dont know about the coverages.

This week Paul Murphy Insurance Agency located at 16 Lebanon St in Malden MA saved a couple $550 on just there auto insurance.  They had Auto with us and we rolled them into another Carrier that we service and also signed them up with a renters policy.  Now the couple has savings on Both there Auto Insurance and the Renters Insurance.
When they arrived they did not know what Renters Insurance covered.  We explained to them the coverages and they left our office happy and covered.

Rolling Policies - 10/09/09 02:31 PM
Today at Paul Murphy Insurance Agency we rolled two customers to different carriers that we deal with.  Rolling a client means that we have them with a carrier of our own and they wanted to see if they could save anymore so we quoted them out again with all of our carriers and some of the carriers came out better then what they were paying already.
We saved one client $90.00 on Auto and $53.00 on Home making total savings of$143.00
Our other client saved $193.00 on Auto and $71.00 on Home making total savings of $264.00

Most people these days have insurance for there home and auto through different insurance companies.  What most don't know is if you have your Auto and Home with the same company you receive a Multi-Policy Discount.  A Multi-Policy discount means that you receive a discount on your Auto for having your home with the same company and vice-versa.
