A Virginia State trooper pulled a car over on I-64 about 2 miles south of the Virginia / West Virginia State line.  When the trooper asked the driver why he was speeding, the driver said he was a Magician and Juggler and was on his way to Beckley WV to do a show at the Shrine Circus. He didn't want to be late.   The trooper told the driver he was fascinated by juggling and said if the driver would do a little juggling for him then he wouldn't give him a ticket.  He told the trooper he had sent his equipment … (8 comments)

Another great way to get back and forth from your vacation or retirement property at Hartstene Pointe. Hartstene Pointe has a 100 slip private marina in Indian Cove that has quest moorage up to 60 foot for owners and their guests. You can also anchor or dock at Jarrell Cove and State park about a mile south on Pickering Passage. I've seen some 100 foot yachts taking advantage of this protected moorage. An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard. I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home and was well taken care of.   He calmly came over to me, I gave him a few pats on his head; He then followed me into my house, slowly walked down the hall, curled up in the corner and fell asleep. It is very simple why most of my clients chose Hartstene Pointe over other areas, when purchasing a vacation or retirement property. A well planned and maintained development will always stand the test of time.
Hartstene Pointe is not new by any means. In the late 1960s a vision for a planned recreation development on Harstine Island, was in the planning stages. In January 1970 the first section of the development broke ground of what would be called Hartstene Pointe. Another Reason We Chose Hartstene Pointe, The Bridge... - 01/16/10 08:27 PM
Puget Sound has many islands on which to choose from when looking at vacation property. My family chose Hartstene Pointe because we didn't have to be hostage to a ferry system as with other islands.
A ferry is a major consideration and added cost when looking to buy a cabin. Thanks to this bridge we have always been able to enjoy our cabin at Hartstene Pointe and at an average of $25 per round trip that can tend to add up...

What does your client think and whose business is it? - 01/15/10 06:20 AM
When you show the amount of houses I do, you often get calls requesting feedback on the homes you show. What bugs me is when agent calls me and wants feedback, then proceeds to argue with me of what my clients feels about their listing.
No offence, but if my clients are interested, that is what I tell the other agent, nothing more! Why tell the other agent they love the house and just have to have it. I don't believe that is in my client's best interest.

Have you ever been blindsided by a trusted vendor?
I just had some work done on a listing. The estimate was for $1200 dollars and I agreed to $700 in parts that they called me about. My clients also said great to the added amount.  I’m thinking my total bill to be in the $2500 range with labor and taxes. I receive a bill today for $4560.
I understand that everyone is having financial problems these days and the repairs were done but come on man, $2000! To their credit they did call but there is a discrepancy of $2000,  that … (12 comments)
