Motivational Monday, Share their wealth... - 08/29/11 02:28 PM

The greatest good we can do for anyone is not to share our wealth with them, but rather to reveal their own wealth.  It's astonishing how much talent and ability rests inside a human being……
A quote of Zig Ziglar
When I wanna get motivated I turn to Zig Ziglar.  That is why you see me quote him so often because he always unlocks the potential in both myself and those I care about.

Six things I love about my iPad for real estate... - 08/26/11 01:37 PM

Six things I love about my iPad for real estate...

I've had my iPad for over a year and am very pleased with how I adapted to its uses.  Instead of finding excuses not to use my iPad, I try to find new ways and methods to incorporate my iPad into my work.
The following her but a few examples;
The size.  Have you ever tried to show a picture to a client on a smart phone?  Impossible!  On my iPad it's a snap.  Pictures straight off of the MLS. Contracts.  My contacts are always within reach.  I can … (9 comments)

What Will a Short Sale Do to Your Credit Score? - 08/24/11 01:16 AM
This is the most common question I get when I talk to a distressed homeowner. The fact that they still care gives me hope for a good relationship and outcome. I had a string of listing appointments where I felt the client was just going through a maze with no idea of how each decision would impact their life in years to come.
Via Robert Rauf (REMN - Real Estate Mortgage Network (NJ)):
What Effect Does a Short Sale have on my Credit?

Every short sale seller wants to know the answer to this question.  Naturally, there is no straight forward … (6 comments)

Tuesday's treasures, Reputation vs. Character - 08/23/11 02:42 PM

Reputation is what others think about you; character is what god knows about you…
A quote of Adrian Rogers

How many times have you judged some one because of their reputation?  On the other hand, how many times have you misjudged a person because of  their reputation?
I am constantly reevaluating my thoughts and beliefs.  I find it refreshing to be proved wrong about someone or some place.

Thankful Thursdays, Simple pleasures... - 08/18/11 08:39 PM

Pleasure is very seldom found where it is sought. Our brightest blazes are commonly kindled by unexpected sparks …

I take full responsibility! - 08/16/11 04:09 PM

OK, it’s my entire fault.
Who would have thought that my wife and I, buying an air conditioner would result in the coolest summer in Western Washington in 10 Years. As of this date, August 16, the thermometer has only broke 80° twice. So as you can see, this $360 air conditioner, that we haven’t used, is directly responsible for this cool summer. (Global Washington State cooling?)

While the rest the nation is recording record heat waves, we are receiving beautiful 70°days all the time. Most of the time in August you cannot find an air conditioner in any store but this … (8 comments)

Tuesday's treasures, Cloud Based Thoughts... - 08/16/11 12:54 PM

Logic will get you from A to B,
Imagination will take you anywhere...

A quote of Albert Einstein

Sometimes my mind soars beyond what I think is possible in my life and gives me hope that if I can imagine it, it can be achieved.

Motivational Monday, happiness - 08/15/11 12:09 PM

Happiness is not a when or a where; they can be a here and a now.  But until you are happy with who you are, you'll never be happy because of what you have.…
A quote of Zig Ziglar

I believe this quote says it all in its simplicity and downright fact.

Not so Wordless Wednesday, be happy wherever you are... - 08/10/11 08:25 PM

Happiness is a conscious choice, not an automatic response…
A quote of Mildred Barthel

How often do you go out and decide to be happy? I start every day with the conscious choice of being happy. After all, no one else can decide on your disposition, it is your choice...

Tuesday's treasures, Time flies... - 08/09/11 11:14 AM

Time flies. It's up to you to be the navigator...
A quote of Robert Orben

Where does all that time go?  I wake up every morning about the same time but from the minute my feet hit the floor to the moment I lay my head down once more seems so short.  I guess that's why time is so precious.  The thought that the richest men and women in the world would pay anything at the end of their lives for more time is profound and true.
Go out today and make the most of your day…

Motivational Monday, It's what's on the inside... - 08/08/11 11:10 AM

Happiness is not in our circumstances but in ourselves.  It is not something we see, like a rainbow, or feel, like the heat of a fire.  Happiness is something we are…
A quote of John D.  Sheerin
When I first read this quote I had to read it several times to absorb all the meaning it portrayed.  It sounds old fashion to say you can't buy happiness but as I get older I understand that happiness starts from the inside as do riches...

So who knows best? - 08/08/11 01:43 AM
So who knows best about market conditions in your market? The real estate professional or the rental property owner who hasn't seen his or her house or neighborhood in 9 years?
I am fortunate to work with several out the state homeowners when they decide it's time to sell their income property and either upgrade with the 1031 exchange or take their profit and invest elsewhere.
From time to time, I get a property owner who hasn't kept up with market values and conditions.  I don't set the market price for a property, the market sets that price.  I try to give my clients … (31 comments)

Thankful Thursday, Each day... - 08/04/11 12:27 PM

If you don't think every day is a good day, try missing one…
A quote of Cavett Robert
So many of us take our time, here on earth, for granted.  I for one believe that each day is special and that I am the only one who can fully appreciate what happens to me.  I've found my attitude depicts what will come of the day ahead. To have a great day, I'm going to have to try to start each day with a happy thought...

Devotion - 08/03/11 12:07 PM

It's not the amount of time you devote but what you devote to the time that counts…
A quote of Bob Moawad
Crazy as it may seem, at the end of the day, when we look back at how busy we were, what did we accomplish? I've been wrestling with this thought for a long time and hope by sharing this quote with you, you might find the answer for yourself…

Tuesday's Treasures, It's the end of the day, what have you learned? - 08/02/11 11:10 AM

In a time of drastic change, it is the learner who will inherit the future...
A quote of Eric Hoffer
In today's market, we seem to be the victims of constant change and regulation. Instead of complaining, we must become educated in these changes and stay in front of the pack. I find myself a student of my craft, never satisfied with how things were done but trying to find new ways to get things done…

Motivational Monday , Faith and Doubt... - 08/01/11 11:24 AM

Faith and doubt are both needed-not as antagonists, but working side by side-to take us around the unknown curve...
A quote of Lillian Smith
How often do we agonize over decisions that if we made the leap of faith, the decision would be easy. We are constantly in a world of doubt which is essential to separate order from chaos. Don't let doubt paralyze your decision-making. Make doubt a check and balance decision clarifier and get on with the process…
