Making pictures a requirement for residential listings on the MLS

I think we, as professional real estate agents, should take action to make pictures on the MLS a requirement for residential listings. How many times have you wanted to email properties to a client or select the best properties when there are 30 available in a neighborhood, but a third of the listings have no picture?

With so many properties on the market, we want to make sure we are servicing our clients properly. How can we be expected to know which properties are worth showing if there are poor remarks AND no pictures on the MLS?

The way the system works now, we add pictures after MLS airs the listing, but maybe a hold can be put on residential listings until at least the exterior pic is uploaded, or better yet - the listing goes on the MLS as usual, but if pics are not uploaded within one week, it goes temporarily off the air until the pics ARE added.

Every agent can manage one exterior pic - they can just take a camera with them to the listing appointment or when previewing the property for pricing purposes.

EWM is really good about pictures, but I think we need to do something to encourage all companies to place pictures on the MLS.

Any chance EWM can take action to have MLS program something like this?
