patrick dardis: Let's Use Less Stuff in Fort McMurray This Holiday Season - 11/27/09 11:42 PM
It should come as no surprise that between Thanksgiving and New Year's Day, our excessiveness hits an annual high, especially where waste is concerned:  We throw out 25 percent more garbage than we do the rest of the year.  That's a million extra tons of garbage per week.

A Secret Scrolls message from Rhonda ByrneCreator of The Secret

The greatest thief of human happiness and abundance is ungratefulness. Any lack in our lives - whether in money, health, or relationships - is simply the evidence of a lack of gratitude. If you focus on lack you are not being grateful, and that will bring more lack into your life. Yet the simple state of radiating gratitude summons everything to you.
No matter who you are or where you are, you can change your life with gratitude, but you must feel it with your whole heart and radiate it … (2 comments)

patrick dardis: An Ants Philosophy - 11/24/08 12:52 AM
A great Real Estate teacher and coach Brett Noel sent me this piece that I just had to share
I think everybody should study ants. They have an amazing four-part philosophy
Ants never quit. That's a good philosophy. If they're headed somewhere and you try to stop them; they'll look for another way. They'll climb over, they'll climb under, and they'll climb around. They keep looking for another way. What a great philosophy, to never quit looking for a way to get where you're supposed to go.
Ants think winter all summer. That's an important perspective. You can't be so naive as … (0 comments)

patrick dardis: Understanding the hidden costs of buying a home - 09/04/08 04:54 AM
Purchasing a home can be a stressful experience for anyone, but especially for first-time buyers who may not be aware that there are a host of costs associated with buying a home other than the actual purchase price and real estate commissions. It helps to know what those costs are in advance rather than get an unexpected surprise at closing and add to an already stressful experience.

Closing costs. These generally refer to legal fees, property tax … (2 comments)
