It is getting closer. What is? That time when many people decide that it is time to sell their homes and move on to something bigger, smaller, different, etc. It usually begins around here in late February and extends to June. Folks are trying to move after the kids get out of school for the Summer and move in to the next before school starts again. It is a delicate dance.

Oh my gosh, no! Everyone knows, or thinks they know, that Spring is the selling time for Real Estate. While it is usually the start of the Real Estate selling season, a home can be successfully sold anytime. Folks do like to get settled before school starts, so that means here in Georgia folks like to be settled before August 1. However, this is not the case for all folks.

listing: We can't list on a Wednesday!

I was watching the nightly news last night when their housing "expert" said that Tuesdays are the best day to list your home. Huh? Why?
Well, the "Expert" didn't say why. She only mentions this like it was a well known fact and moves on to the next gem. I can't for the life of me figure out why Tuesday would be the best day to list a home. As a matter of fact, this issue has never come to my attention, ever.

Ordinarily, someone wanting to by a home for sale would be a good thing. There is an occasion when it is not. This happens before your home is ever listed with an agent. It is when you are interviewing agents for the job of selling your home. When you finally decide on the agent to hire simply because he or she gave you the best listing price, they may have just bought your listing.
