snohomish: Tourist Train Between Downtown Snohomish and Woodinville - 04/27/10 02:37 PM
I was so excited to hear that we would have a tourist train running between Snohomish and Woodinville slated for this summer’s busy season. Now it has been pushed back to fall if all goes according to plan. I am disappointed about the push back but still happily awaiting such a grand alternative transportation.

The reason I can’t wait for the train is that it will give me an easy way to grab my bike, which I ride daily on the Centennial Trail, and hop on the train to Woodinville. There I can hit the Burke Gilman trail and ride … (1 comments)

snohomish: Snohomish County Offers Great Opportunities For Bird Watching - 04/06/10 02:46 PM
I live on acreage  just on the outskirts of Lake Stevens in unincorporated Snohomish County. I have dedicated part of the land, which is a nice wetland, to protected birds and ducks.
Not long ago, my neighbor told me that they had spotted a bird that is in the immediate risk category called an American Bittern. They were shocked to see this species in our area, let alone happily strolling along the shore of the pond eating what appeared to be frogs.
