I had a great open house today at 136 Hebron Road, Bolton, CT.   I haven't done an open house in a while because I, like many people, did not feel that they really worked.

But this is a house that people really needed to get into so they could experience the charm and see the fabulous backyard and outbuildings.  So, I felt that this particular house required an open house, and I was determined to make it great one.

You know the feeling--you are rolling along, everything is going like clockwork, you are ticking every item off your to-do list, feeling pretty proud of yourself, when CRASH your whole world comes to a screeching halt.

Just off of Avery Street on the South Windsor/Manchester town line, is a small subdivision in the Robertson School District. Some of the streets are Baldwin, Bryan, Concord, Macintosh, Pond, Carman, and Cornwall.  Most of the homes were built in the 1950s and 1960s, but a few are newer.  Many of them have been substantially remodeled by subsequent owners.  One of the things that draws people to this area is the layout of the roads. Wickham Park in Manchester, CT is open for the season! April 3rd was opening day for Wickham Park, and what a glorious day it was!  Wickham Park has to be one of the most beautiful parks in the world, and it's right in our backyard on the Manchester/East Hartford town line.
