The Newest Market Stats are out from RBI ( Real Estate Business Intelligence) an MRIS company. Today I am featuring the Northern Virginia report. This report includes Prince William, Manassas and Massassa Park Virginia.
I love this months review, that's because the news is pretty much all good in the real estate world. The commentator brings up a good point. If the weather man reports on the morning news it is raining in Florida, do you automatically grab your umbrella when you head out the door to head to work here in Prince William County Virginia?

I did a quick study of the resale market of luxury homes that have listed and or sold since June 2011.

Saw this video, went and got a big blue ball and sure enough our Westie responded the exact same way. He was totally jazzed and delighted to have something to chase. The only thing is, I need to invite a few more Westies over for a play date because my Cocker Spaniel and Shitzu have no interest in this sport. Go figure..

Yesterday, I read an interesting article in the Realtor Magazine and the term bantered around was "Doubling Up."   In the past my only frame of reference for the term "Doubling Up"  was the photo featured below. As you drive down the street here in Lake Ridge Virginia on any given weekend you see bandit signs in the median strip that says "Lake Ridge Foreclosures". Kind of makes you the driver think, we must have a lot of foreclosures in the area if someone has a spent a lot of money having all those signs printed up to boast about it. Right?

For those who are upside down, who purchased in the height of the real estate market, home values seem to be rising so slow. However for those who purchased in 2008,and 2009, well they  are reaping the benefits of their decision to buy!

Over the past few weeks I have met with a handful of homeowners who are thinking of selling. A few are ready to buy move-up homes, another would prefer not to rent anymore and another has tenants leaving out of the blue and is frustrated with timing.
