I witnessed something very, very cool tonight. One hundred and twelve people joined together at the Brew Replublic Bierwerks at Stonebridge Shopping Center in Woodbridge Virginia for it's very first Charitable Donation. The Northern Virginia Impact Club awarded Still Brave a Childhood Cancer Foundation the $11,200 check this evening! "Unbelievably Tom of STILLBRAVE decided to divide the award in three, so that all three charities that presented would walk away with an immediate infusion of donations this evening!" Just imagine what kind of "Holiday Season" local businesses could have, if banks would approve the backlog of short sales pending approval! Just imagine.. Currently in little Woodridge Virginia, we have more than 300 homes pending short sale approval, as of this post the bulk of the short sales have been Under Contract since April,May, June and July 2011. About a dozen have been Under Contract since 2010. ( can you believe that???) That is just ridiculous!

Yesterday, I went to meet with a dear friend in Old Town Manassas Virginia for lunch. It was a rainy brisk fall day here in Virginia. My friend suggested we lunch at the City Square Cafe. It was a charming neighborhood restaurant with a very friendly staff and a quiet atmosphere. We both ordered their signature sandwich which was a Ham Sandwich with apple slices and Swiss cheese on a whole grain bread served with fries. Yum! Currently 236 Homeowners here in Prince William County Virginia accepted offers from home buyers who are trying to lock-in the historically low, low interest rates. You read that correctly, 236 Homeowners!
