On the Southeastern tip of Prince Edward Island, Canada, is the historic Cape Bear Lighthouse. It served as a Marconi Station and Lighthouse, and received the first distress signal from the famous Titanic. Today the Prince Edward Island Government under Premier Pat Binns has made the lighthouse into a very popular Tourist Attraction in PEI. During the summer months the Cape Bear Lighhouse is staffed with knowledgeable people to give the visitors an historic lookback to what makes the Lighthouse and Marconi Station famous.

Provincial Election in Prince Edward Island, Canada - 05/26/07 06:43 PM
We are having a Provincial Election this Monday on Prince Edward Island. The 2 main Parties, Conservatives and Liberals, are island rivals in the political arena. There are 2 other parties involved also: The Green Party, and the New Democtatic Party (NDP). Premier Pat Binns is the reigning Premier of Prince Edward Island and is seeking support for his 4th term as Premier. It is anticipated to be a close election between the 2 main parties and we will have to wait until this Monday to get the final results.
