I have now invested 37 years into the housing industry and I honestly thought that I had seen it all when I was at a settlement in 1974 and saw a deed restriction that prohibited “bone boiling” on the premises. Today however is a new day in the circus we call real estate and the insanity continues.
My son (who works with me in the mortgage business) expressed his desire to buy a home and take advantage of todays incredible rates. And his mother thought he wasn’t paying attention. To his chagrin the process was not terribly smooth. The first … (4 comments)

Thank you for signing our petition to push the Attorney General Linda Kelly to fund the Home Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program. HEMAP is back with $66 million at their disposal from the $26 billion mortgage settlement. Applications are expected to resume in July. The vote to restore the nation’s very best homeowner program was unanimous.
HEMAP saved 47,000 homes from foreclosure until it’s funding was ended.
Thank you all for being a part of our effort to let Linda Kelly know what to do with the money.

I was fortunate enough to be invited by CBSPhilly.com to a book signing for Jim Abbott’s book “Imperfect”. What an incredible evening. Take away the area at Citizens Bank Park that we sat in. Take away all of the beautiful surroundings. I was left with an overwhelming feeling of I can do anything if I really set my mind to it.
