club mastermind members: Real Estate Investors... and the Number One Cause of Road Kill? - 09/27/09 01:00 AM

If you are a real estate agent you know how challenging these past several years have been. Not only dealing with a market that for many has been in a free-for-all, buyers that couldn't get financed due to new stringent qualification rules... and for those agents who had the opportunity to work with real estate investors, the fact the many got clobbered during the turmoil... only to be replaced in many cases by a new batch of "newbie's".

In one of my previous posts I spoke briefly about what I believe is the mantra for all successful real estate investors.
Simply put... this mantra "You Profit When You Buy" says a lot about what a real estate investor is thinking when they ask you, their real estate agent, to make what seems like stupidly low offers.
For many real estate investors and almost all real estate agents, this concept of "profiting when you buy" seems out of reach on almost every deal... with real estate investors that just don't seem to understand what it takes to purchase "right" and "profitably'... and … (0 comments)

In the 1980's (yes, I am dating myself), there was baseball catcher, sportscaster and actor - Bob Uecker - who played George Owens on the sit-com "Mr. Belvedere." He had a line that I think fits many current real estate investors. Bob would always be saying: "You Snooze, You Lose!" I'm sure you've heard it before. But have you applied it to real estate...lately?
I think Bob's statement says a lot for where many real estate investors are relative to this market (hopefully not you). They are sitting on the sidelines...taking a nap, waiting for the market to "change," hoping that some of … (12 comments)

club mastermind members: Club Mastermind Members and a Message to Garcia... - 07/19/09 02:53 AM

On several occasions in the past couple of weeks I have been actively involved with Club Mastermind Members who are having significant challenges with members of their team.
If it's not a contractor, its a real estate agent, or a lender. You name it and it seems that at any point in time each of us as investors are dealing with some member of our team letting us down. In most cases my advice has been to help them better manage the situation and in several cases I have recommended firing these non-perfuming team members outright.
