WHETHER THE WEATHER BE FINE

OR WHETHER THE WEATHER BE NOT

WHETHER THE WEATHER BE COLD

OR WHETHER THE WEATHER BE HOT

WE'LL WHETHER THE WEATHER

WHATEVER THE WEATHER

WHETHER WE LIKE IT OR NOT

As REALTORS®, Stagers, Interior Decorators, Home Inspectors, Lenders, Buyers or Sellers, we'll whether the weather, whether the weather be fine, or whether the weather be not, Whether the weather be cold, or whether the weather be hot, we'll whether the weather, whatever the weather, whether we like it or not.

Think Green! - 04/15/11 11:05 AM
April 15, 2011

This little guy found in my Flower Mound garden is hungry for green. How about you?
Description
How would you describe him? Do you notice he seems to have a BIG smile on his face? He isn't drooling or looking desperate. Do you see his bright eyes? He is clearly staying focused. Have you noticed that he is climbing upwards and not backwards? Although I'm sure he can move backwards, he chooses to move upward and onward, isn't he? Do you think he's hanging on...or not? Or do you see him making choices? His feet are slow and steady; yet … (38 comments)

2011 Hill Visit at the Capitol - 04/14/11 09:01 AM
April 14, 2011
Approximately 2,000 REALTORS® stormed the Hill on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in Austin at the State Capitol. I was honored to join my fellow Texas REALTORS® for a day at the Capitol and advocate for legislation that will benefit your business and property owners. As we stood at the floor, we were able to meet with our constituents or their personal assistants and had opportunity to speak with one voice over issues impacting our business. The architectural beauty at the State Capitol in Texas can not be denied.

We look up to our legisllators to make good … (9 comments)

Color Has A Purpose - 04/13/11 01:24 PM
April 14, 2011
Color has a purpose in the natural world and what better place to start than in a garden? Its purpose is to attract, repel, conceal and brighten up a landscape. Shades of light; shades of dark, all make a garden beautiful. All colors have a purpose.

Choose color with a purpose. Colors with intensity are often perceived as royalty in years past and they are now available to all. In the natural world, color doesn't matter - it's the value it brings to those who need it that really matters.

When light falls on the petals … (28 comments)

Reflections on Political Rights Living In The USA - 04/13/11 01:14 AM

A Strong Country Needs Strong Leadership
While standing in front of the Capitol building in Austin, Texas, on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, these words jumped out at me. They were carved in stone on the corner of the three-story castle-like structure of mid-19th century mock-medieval revival architectural style. I believe with my whole heart and soul that a strong country needs strong leadership and the protection of people's rights are the primary purpose of the law.

A Free Society
In order to have a free society, there has to be mutual respect between the government and the people. There … (22 comments)

Congressional Reform Act of 2011 - As It Should Be... - 04/11/11 10:50 PM
This is a re-blog from Melinda Peterson of Grants Pass Homes and Southern Oregon Real Estate Cafe.
I do think Melinda makes a great point and we the people should get more involved with politics and understand our Constitutional Rights. It's a privilege to vote and a duty to stand up for what you believe in. Always remember, "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America...." We are not pledging allegiance to the people who were elected to serve in Congress. I will remember this message that Melinda Peterson posted. To quote Melinda Peterson, "Let's see what the … (13 comments)

"Your Appointment is Confirmed - There's a Friendly Dog on the Premises" - 04/11/11 09:18 AM
April 11, 2011
"Your appointment has been confirmed; there's a dog on the property and the pet is friendly..." Oh really, how many times have you heard THAT line before? You go over to the property and the dog is barking his head off before you even ring the bell!
THINGS THAT CAN HAPPEN
You get to the property; the dog is barking - it's NOT  a friendly bark. Your appointment is already scheduled, the people REALLY want to see the house; yet the prospective buyers are not willing to make the first move to go into the house. So, what's … (28 comments)

April 9, 2011
My neice went to the park and saw Bluebonnets for the very first time! Her name is Cookie and she LOVED it! This was probably the last weekend to enjoy the blue bonnets here in Flower Mound. Cookie got all dressed up for them in her tutu too!!!

Silent Saturday: An Alternative Stump Solution - 04/09/11 07:50 AM
April 9, 2011
Stump turned to stone! I found this one on campus at the Art Studio at the University of Dallas. I like the fact that the stump was recycled into something that is aesthetically pleasing with the landscape and it can now be used as a stool to sit and ponder.

To Mulch or What to Use for Mulch - That is the Question - 04/08/11 08:12 PM
April 8, 2011
The planting has begun in North Dallas, Texas.  I don't recall ever having so many choices when it comes to mulch before, so I did a little homework. I know they are supposed to keep the weeds down but they can also provide a barrier for the dreaded march of the termites. Many people use colorful mulch when putting their homes on the market just because it looks prettier than dirt, but if you're going to mulch, why not get a better understanding about what it is you're buying. When in doubt, check with your local nurseries, landscaping … (23 comments)

The Rose Parade - 04/07/11 09:53 PM
April 7, 2011
Welcome to my Rose Parade for Spring, 2011. Cut flowers are nice, but why have them store bought when you could have the BUSH! Everything is coming up rosey in my Flower Mound garden and that makes me happy! I hope you enjoy them too!

Ambitious Dreams & The Rippling Effect - 04/06/11 09:50 PM
April 6, 2011
Several years ago, I had the good fortune of meeting the most energetic, inspirational, and goal oriented retirees I had ever met in my professional career as a Realtor. Fred and Mary were "young at heart," and they had only one big obstacle, that was preventing them from achieving their number one goal in 2005. They needed to hire a second Realtor, someone who was determined to remove the bump in the road that was preventing them from moving on with their lives. That big bump was their condo that needed to be sold in Irving, Texas. As … (24 comments)

The Eye of the Rose - 04/03/11 03:18 PM
April 3, 2011
This first rose in my garden bloomed today. I noticed it at 2:00 p.m.  It's the second gift I received for my birthday. I called it, The "Eye of the Rose."

Today's My Birthday; This is My Gift - 04/03/11 08:25 AM
April 3, 2011

"We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass-grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, see how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls."  --- Mother Teresa

Grapevine, Texas - Lots to Fun Things to See and Do - 04/02/11 11:35 AM
April 2, 2011
Grapevine, TX is located just N of DFW Airport, 21 miles NW of Dallas and 19 miles NE of Fort Worth. Here's some photos to help you get a feel for what it looks like on a typical Friday night. These photos were taken on April 1, 2011. You can get a feel for the type of Family Community that locals and tourist visit daily.

Most restaurant owners offer people the opportunity to eat indoors or outdoors. Outdoor eating is very popular. Can you see the bride in the background? She was walking down the street having … (26 comments)

Silent Saturday - When a Bell Tolls - 04/01/11 11:09 PM

Everything I planned to do, I didn't do because the clients called and I was at their beckon call. But in one split moment, the bells tolled. I was alone. I gave adoration. From that moment on, it was quiet... all was good and quiet. The people decided by themselves what needed to be done. Some times silence is the best response.

First Thoughts of the Day - 04/01/11 06:30 AM
April 1, 2011
It's 4 o'clock in the morning and I can finally hear myself think. All day long, I think of other people and their needs, wishes, desires; now it's my turn. The dishwasher has finally quit running and I just put away the dishes. The washing machine just started up and outside my window I hear the sound of the sprinkler system watering my garden. My teabag is seeping, I can almost taste my tea and honey. The sounds I hear all have something to do with water. I pause to rub my watery eyes.
"All is born of … (39 comments)
