It Isn't Raining Rain to Me - 12/31/11 06:48 AM
As 2011 comes to a close, I wanted to share a Poem by Robert Loveman.  Whatever this poem means, try to feel the spirit in which it was written. I’ve enjoyed being in the rain with you this year and making connections. During the past four seasons, whether you read anything I had to say, commented on a post, met me at RainCamp, or talked to me on the phone, I appreciate being a member of ActiverRain. Happy New Year Everyone!

It isn’t raining rain to me,

It’s raining daffodils;

In every dimpled drop I see

Wild flowers … (27 comments)

Today's Affirmation - 12/30/2011 - 12/30/11 10:49 AM
I will take inventory of my possessions, releasing the old to make room for a better future. I discovered this great Antique Shop in Roanoke, TX. It’s easy to discern between trinkets and treasures when it belongs to somebody else; however, when it’s your own, we often don’t take the time to remove things of useless value that can be donated to charity or put to better use in some other capacity.

I was immediately drawn to the Adirondack Chairs. While similar to the authentic homemade chairs I saw in Maine, they still stirred up nostalgia. Many … (16 comments)

Today's Affirmation - 12/29/2011 - 12/29/11 09:22 AM
December 29, 2011
Today I will choose to do whatever I think is valuable.  As the days that remain in 2011 go by, I will take advantage of opportunities that will enable me to sharply focus on the belief systems I have formed that determine my personal values. Last night I discovered this quaint and charming bookstore called the Book Carriage in Roanoke, Texas.

Once I stepped inside, I was reminded of how important it is to maintain a life balance - after all, I am only human. I have always been attracted to the arts, books, learning opportunities. Education is … (40 comments)

Today's Affirmation - 12/28/2011 - 12/28/11 07:11 AM
December 28, 2011
Today I will stay focused on the actions I can control. With only four days left in the year 2011, I will keep my eyes focused on my goal. I was reminded about keeping that vision in sight on December 25, 2011. A horse in Collinsville, Texas jogged my memory – the art of discipline will actually help me to experience more spirited freedom. The one who listens well and stands at attention puts the other person at ease.

Obstacles are a way of life. If you maintain discipline and your vision is clear, nothing can get in your way. Nonverbal communication, such … (24 comments)

Guess Who is Getting COAL Today? - 12/25/11 07:45 AM
Santa is very, very upset! He is currently working on a refinance that was set to close and the lender added conditions… As he stated to a very reliable source, "He has had it up to his red cherry nose with conditions."

The ELVES have refused to return phone calls to verify employment as they expressed this is just too busy of a time to call anyone.

He can’t sign his loan documents in time to make his lock as he will be leaving on an extended vacation starting 12/24.

The lender is asking for proof that Santa … (35 comments)

The Start is the Beginning; The Ending is Everything! - 12/23/11 09:02 AM
Several posts ago I wrote that the Competition in Flower Mound is Great! What made this listing successful right from the beginning were three things:
1.      The cooperation I got from the Sellers
2.      An excellent rapport from the onset with the other Agent.
3.      The Planning and the Execution.
Once the contract was executed, the Buyer scheduled the Home Inspection. The Buyer did present a reasonable request for a list of repairs and the Sellers complied. Because of their determination to get their home sold, and my recommendation for them to “Always do the right things,” they quickly got … (23 comments)

Coping With Loss During the Holiday Season? - 12/20/11 06:06 AM
May it comfort you to know, more than likely the ones you lost were pretty amazing people or pets and they had a wonderful life, just because of you!
When it comes to loss, no one is exempt. Think about the time period they lived and reflect on the good memories and how they impacted your life.  If you think of a funny story, it’s okay to laugh.  Your loved ones would love to hear you laugh, so laugh out loud to the skies up above. It’s okay to enjoy precious memories and to celebrate life on earth!

Bedrooms, Color, Paintings & Music - 12/14/11 01:16 PM
Today is my lovely daughter’s birthday. Today, I spend the day reflecting on that special moment when I gave birth and reminisce on my daughter’s many Bedrooms and the significance of Paintings, Colors & Sounds.

HER FAVORITE COLOR IS GREEN
My first apartment was a one bedroom home measuring less than 1,000 square feet. When my daughter was born, the basinet was in very close proximity to me. The walls were bright green. My daughter’s favorite color turned out to be green, which remains her favorite color today.

SHE LOVES TO PAINT
The second place of residence was a … (23 comments)

The Competition in Flower Mound is GREAT!!! - 12/07/11 11:28 PM
I just wanted to give a shout out to Lee Holtzman from REMAX Advantage in Lewisville to say THANK YOU!
Lee is my competitor and he presented an offer on one of my listings two days ago. What I like about Lee is that when he sent the offer, he also sent me a very nice letter. His letter began by thanking me for being available and complimenting the Seller's on their beautiful home. To quote Lee, "They sure know how to stage it!!"
This single line was very much appreciated by my Sellers. After I listed the property, I paid for … (44 comments)

The Luxurious Master Bath Make-Over - 12/06/11 01:05 AM
What made this listing sell quickly was because of the Luxurious Master Bathroom. All it took from contract to close on December 5, 2011, was eleven days. I attribute it to the fact that the owners had a vision for beauty and relaxation. Plus, the sellers are believers that a home is an investment. The Master Bath Spa Retreat was hard to beat.

The Shower Massage Panel with programmable thermostat was complete with 48 jets and a 3 way diverted shower head. The frameless glass shower surround was fresh and clean and the shower pan was made of … (47 comments)
