Referral Agents-We Make Connections Every Day - 09/30/08 05:49 PM
I'm out of town this week meeting with a company in Ohio that is looking to move some positions in their company closer to the DC.  They like Northern Virginia due to the access to two (three if you count BWI) airports, multiple transportation options and variety of housing.Right now they are in the preliminary stages of investigation.  So why do I post this?  Sometimes the question comes up about what does a referral agent do in real estate.  This is one example of how a referral agent works.  We make connections across the country with companies who want to move employees to a new … (0 comments)

Military Relocation-Welcome to Affordable Fairfax County Neighborhoods - 09/26/08 03:43 PM
This post first appeared on Active Rain in January 2008 and is a great example of why Cindy Jones is a go to agent for Military Relocation to the Northern Virginia area.

Homer Simpson Doesn’t Live in This Springfield - 09/20/08 08:40 AM
It is always interesting to find a blogger who really knows the history of their area. If you read Cindy's post you can see that she knows more than just the neighborhoods and the roads but she also can tell you a lot about how the area grew as well.
Enjoy!

Do You Participate or Just Pay Your Dues - 09/14/08 11:11 AM
Recently at the encouragement of local realtor and now good friend I decided to take the challenge to get more involved in my new community.  I had paid my dues to join the Lorton Workhouse Arts Center but beyond that I didn't think much about what else I might do.  But when she said you know you can volunteer and actually help the center grow and provide support for the small staff.  And so I took the challenge and not only signed up to be a volunteer but to be there during all the craziness during the upcoming opening week activities.
It made me think about … (4 comments)

The use of Copyrighted Images-When is AR going to put its foot down? - 09/10/08 10:18 AM
I read the blogs that mention the illegal use of copyrighted images and wonder why are so many people getting away with it?
Is it because no one flags the posts and notifies Active Rain?  Is it because another blogger doesn't email them and tell refer them to the copyright information for the photo they used?  Is it because there is no real penality unless the owner of the photo steps forward to claim it?Recently I've noticed more and more images that are taken from other sites appearing on AR with either the copyright logo still in place or images that are … (0 comments)
