Copyright certificates have been issued by the US Copyright Office. There are some that suggest that copyright is an "ego" issue, however I would suggest that it has nothing to do with an ego and all about good common sense. If you spend time creating something that makes your website or blog posts stand out from the crowd protecting your work makes all the sense in the world. Tucked just off Rolling Rd behind the Springfield Golf and Country Club the neighborhood has no through streets giving the community a great sense of privacy. What’s Your Localism Style? - 01/23/09 04:49 PM
How do you create your Localism posts? Are they: Short?Formulated?Folksy?Historical? A combination of all of the above? The great thing about internet is the variety of what buyers can find out about their local area. Since Active Rain provides some great "google juice" and anyone out searching for information on a neighborhood around the country is going to find a post from an agent who is a member of Active Rain.So does it matter how you write your post? Honestly it is all about your own sense of style and comfort level. Some bloggers are more comfortable with just the facts (8 comments)

Neighborhood Experts-How Do You Decide Who is Best to Sell Your Home? - 01/02/09 03:26 PM
The good thing about the internet is that it has made much of the real estate transaction transparent to a buyer or seller. The bad thing about the internet is that it has created a plethera of "neighborhood experts" who all claim to know more about one neighborhood than the next agent. So how does a consumer decide? My best advice is to talk to more than one agent when you are ready to sell your current home. Knowing your neighborhood may be important but is it the #1 thing you should consider? What about how well an agent has done in listing (10 comments)
Bigger is Not Always Better - 01/02/09 03:05 PM
Recently I needed to find a register cover for an odd size vent in an older Springfield home. Fortunately I recalled a post that Cindy Jones had written back in December 2007 about Fishers Hardware. Sure enough with the old register cover in hand they were able to pull out the right size replacement. I was in and out of the store in 10 minutes, the same amount of time it might have taken me to just find a parking space at one of the other hardware stores in the area.Reading local blogs turns up all kinds of useful information!
