If you are thinking about selling your home in 2010 now is the time to start looking at it through a buyer's eyes.   One of the easiest ways to freshen up a home is with paint. Time to prime over the fuschia and go for one of the new neutrals.

Speechless Sunday-"Calgon Take Me Away" - 12/20/09 10:59 AM

I thought about posting pictures of the piles of snow outside my door and then decided that remembering the sun on my shoulders would put me in a better spirit.  This is from the Resort at Loretto Bay in Baja California.  The Resort at Lorretto Bay is "one of the world's most sustainably developed resorts" and worth a visit, especially when there are two feet of snow on the ground.

Are You Headed Out to Shovel Snow? - 12/18/09 06:20 PM
The good news is that snow shoveling is great exercise.  The bad news is that more people throw out their backs and even worse suffer heart attacks while shoveling heavy snow. You need to consider snow shoveling the same as participating as any other type of physical activity.  Simple tips include:Stretcf your muscles before you start to shovel.Keep yourself hydrated.  Avoid drinking coffee or sodas with caffeine before you start. Dress in layers. And the best tip I can think of is:Find a neighbor with a snowblower and stay inside by the fire!
Be careful out there and throw a snowball or two for … (13 comments)

Fortunately we keep that information handy and can quickly give someone new the area now only the obvious ways to get to their location but often times the backroads as well.
