Though many think that "going green" means building a new home from the ground that just isn't true. It is easy to start the process towards green living. A few inexpensive steps by everyone can lead to some big changes overall. As more and more consumers become aware of the threats to the environment with rising energy prices and decreasing renewable resources they are looking at their homes as an easy place to start making small changes that can help lead to a bigger impact.

A while back the Cindy Jones Team had the priviledge of selling an Earth Sheltered home in the Hunters Grove subdivion in Manassas VA.We loved all of the green aspects to the home and the fact that you could picnic on the roof or never had to replace it was one of the selling features of the house.
We ran across this video recently about a project in Vancouver Canada that is really something to see. I'm sure the neighbors who are able to enjoy the view appreciate it as well. Green roofs aren't new, they were around when the settlers … (3 comments)
