Managing Time I was having drinks with a friend last week who told me she was tripping up over not managing her time properly... getting side-tracked when on the computer, not finishing items on her To Do list, finding it difficult to time-block etc. etc.
I think it's all in our perception. When I wake up in the morning, I decide what needs to be done that day and do it. If I finish in four hours, the rest of the day is mine!! If it takes nine hours... so be it. As to the computer... I let myself (8 comments)
I love to cook and often use wine. Since I'm not a big wine drinker (remember my favorite beverage is Johnny Walker Black!) I always have an open bottle of wine in my fridge. But, for the many of you who do enjoy a glass of wine or two... here's how to make the best use of what wine you have left. Put it in the fridge and use it the next time you need to add some wine to a pasta sauce or a stew. It adds a complexity of flavor you wouldn't otherwise enjoy. (9 comments)
About six weeks ago, I received a phone call from a past client asking me if I was still in the moving organizer business... I said "yes". He and his family had purchased a home in Davis, CA (10 minutes south of Sacramento, CA) and would be moving from his current home in Larkspur. At the time of the walk through for a moving estimate, the weather in San Francisco was averaging 60-70 degrees; Larkspur was averaing 65-75 degrees. I never checked the weather in Davis... my bad!! With those two pieces of information, they can do a great deal of damage to your financial reputation! So, for your protection, PLEASE shred any of the following:
1. Any paper that has your Social Security Number. 2. Credit, Debit or ATM card Offers which are pre-printed with your name and address. 3. Old Credit, Debit and ATM card statements. 4. Receipts that show your Credit or Debit card number and your signature. 5. Bank Statements (20 comments)
