Attention 1st time buyers!  The controversial stimulus package includes an $8,000 tax credit for first-time home buyers, although there are income restrictions. In the earlier Senate version of the bill, the amount was $15,000 and included more types of buyers. The tax credit is equal to 10% of the price of the home, up to $8,000. The home-buyer credit is reduced for taxpayers with adjusted gross income above $75,000 for single filers and $150,000 for joint filers. Where will we end up with the stimulus plan? - 02/13/09 02:30 PM
There sure is a lot of mixed emotions with the stimulus plan.  We haven't even had final approval and everyone is talking.  Interest rates are awesome and if you want to buy a home today may be the time for you.  Not only if you are a first time buyer but, move up buyer or move down buyer too.  Next week we may have final approval on the revised stimulus plan and then some will move forward and they should.  We need to get housing moving to help the economy.  Other issues that concern me is the Credit cards - Interest … (0 comments)
