In Wallingford, the Department of Public Works will begin curbside pick-up of Christmas trees on Monday, January 11th in all sections of town. Trees must be stripped of all decorations, tinsel, bows, etc, and be placed by the curb no later than Sunday, January 10th.

The 36th Annual Meriden Daffodil Festival in Hubbard Park is almost here and promises to be bigger and better than ever, with over 35 musical acts scheduled to perform this year and plenty of food, games, rides and activities on hand for everyone. The two day event kicks off on Saturday, April 26th and ends on Sunday, April 27th, but the amusement rides and food stations will be open starting at 5:00 PM on Friday, the 26th.

25th Annual Festival of Silver Lights Coming to Hubbard Park
Meriden’s Hubbard Park is gearing up for its 25th annual Festival of Silver Lights, and getting some new decorations for the event as well. Before the lights go on this year, some new animal displays will go up and a brand new 14 foot globe will be installed to replace the old one which was rusting away.
