Bring the whole family and sample the specialties of some of the best eateries Wallingford has to offer (including two newcomers), enter the raffle and enjoy some good company, too! This weekend marked the start of a great holiday season in Wallingford; the Holiday Stroll was Friday night from 4-9PM and was a huge hit, while the SantaCon and Seasons of Celebration took place on Saturday and met with equal success. This year, a new wrinkle was added to the mix that will showcase the art and ingenuity of our small business people. The Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Holiday Window & Outdoor Display Contest from December 1st to the 21st to allow small businesses to dress up their windows for the holidays. The 30th Annual Celebrate Wallingford Festival is scheduled for kick off the weekend of October 1st and 2nd, and the time is rapidly approaching! Prepare yourself for two fantastic days of activities, displays, food tasting, crafting, contests, and entertainment, all set in the beautiful uptown area of Wallingford Center. This year the main venue for the event will once again be along North and South Main Streets and Simpson Court, with other activities taking place at the Railroad Station green at 11 Hall Avenue. Where does the time go?? It seems like just yesterday it was Summer and we were basking in the warmth of the long days, and Thanksgiving and Christmas seemed a long way off.
